If you have ever replaced your spark plugs, shocks or brakes, then you have demonstrated more than enough mechanical ability to replace a cracked manifold. Broken studs is going to be more complicated and may require more than your basic tools.

IIRC, the Warren plant was to run until one of the new plants was up and running and then shutdown and retooled for new models like the reg cab shortbed in the new body style. But, what was planned and what actually happens are two different things...

Bilstein is a lower end shock? Those are built by Bilstein specifically for Mopar and unfortunately not available anywhere else. Mopar must have spec'ed a different material than standard for the bushings. I just purchased a set for the front and they did not come with any hardware or dampeners...

We spent 3 days in Dawson before riding back to Tok so I can't remember if they were on the way or if we saw them on one of our day excursions out of Dawson. IIRC, one was on the hwy between Chicken and Dawson and the other was just outside Dawson. I'll see if I can't get you some location...

I found this illustration detailing the Land Rover Air Suspension. It's not exactly the same as our RAMs but it's close enough to give you an idea of what the internals look like.

The issue is that the shock body slides up into the assembly and forms the seal to keep the air inside. It's not just a hollow cavity with ample clearance that the shock just feeds through. So if the shock body is even fractionally larger, it simply won't fit. Too narrow and it wouldn't ever...
