No but I did notice when installing mine that the screw can push the tab in feels like it’s tight but it actually missed the hole causing the gap.

Take a closer look at the pictures of the cover your retract is flat, the ARE is not it’s high near the back window then tappers down. My 2018 also has a ARE that is totally different than the new one. No increase in MPG’s with my 2018. I have no other way to explain the increase in mileage.

You might be over thinking it. Follow the instructions and you will be fine. It’s a pretty easy install as stated spray the rubber hangers with WD-40 the will come off with a little elbow grease.
