Successful Upgrade - 2022 8.4 Uconnect 5 with NAV to 12 Uconnect 5 [with pictures]

Since that is an HK radio unit, it definitly looks different than mine. I have the base unit and it looks exactly like the pics the rbusbee posted in the first post.

    Adding Passive Entry: How-to

For those thinking of tackling this job, here is a pic of what the door panel looks like when it is removed from the frame. Red indicates the clips where the wire harness should be routed to prevent the window from snagging the harness. The Blue circle shows the torx bolt towards the front of...

Successful Upgrade - 2022 8.4 Uconnect 5 with NAV to 12 Uconnect 5 [with pictures]

Can you take a pic of the square hole? I'm going to take mine apart so I can run my dashcam cord to the lighter/12 volt power. I can see if there are any part numbers... it's worth a try.:)

HOW TO: Add 360 Surround View Camera System

I ordered this cvpm part # also. I have a 2022 1500 with UC5. So from what I have read, this is the correct part number (56029964AF) ? I do not have tow mirrors but yes if you do get this issue resolved, please let us know what cvpm you use to get it working (I have the same specs as you do).

HOW TO: Add 360 Surround View Camera System

Following this closely because I just ordered my cvpm (UC5 non tow mirrors). It seems like you have the safety lines all around the vehicle, front back and sides vs. just the front and back for the mirrors without "tow mirrors". If I have been following correctly, you Do Not have tow mirrors...

    UConnect 26.15 Update Thread

Was just reading the new posts and read a few of the latest pages. I decided to check my version. It is 26.17. I don't know when it downloaded and I'm sure I'm not part of any beta or test group.

Successful Upgrade - 2022 8.4 Uconnect 5 with NAV to 12 Uconnect 5 [with pictures]

Dex17 not sure what screw size you would need for the bracket. I thought I took a picture of the nav unit but I did not. I know you will need the M5 0.8X12 mm bolts to connect the 12 inch screen to the new bezel. The part # from mopar is 6104172AA you will need 7 of them. My dealer only had 4...

Successful Upgrade - 2022 8.4 Uconnect 5 with NAV to 12 Uconnect 5 [with pictures]

Dex17, let us know how it goes. Will you be getting the "module/computer" if you by the 8.4 nav unit? If you do, I believe you can just run the 12" screen to the nav "module/computer" without the need for extra cables?

Successful Upgrade - 2022 8.4 Uconnect 5 with NAV to 12 Uconnect 5 [with pictures]

Thank you Rbusbee for creating a new thread. Like the OP I had a 2022 Bighorn with 8.4" screen, Uconnect 5 with Navigation. I just completed this upgrade today. Parts came in and I was able to complete this in about an hour. The parts I used were: 68526597AC Center Stack Controls...

Blind Spot: All the things that could go wrong did.

Thumbs up for not giving up and getting everything working. I too plugged the canbus connector to the wrong spot, the one up higher behind the side dashboard panel but it was an easy removal because it just lifts up and releases (at least for me it did). It was also a bit difficult to get the...

    Hello from AZ

Hello. This is my first truck and I decided to get a Ram! Got it in October and quickly looked on ways to upgrade it as the dealer selection on options was pretty dismal. Been reading a lot of great info on this site and the upgrades will begin soon. Thank you for all the helpful and useful...
