Wheels look great. However, consider lowering your truck a bit. With the truck that high, it makes the wheels look small. Alternatively, consider getting bigger tires to fill the space if that is an option.
Anyone have their build sheet appear and then disappear?
I could view my build sheet, then a few days later my window sticker, but now my build sheet disappeared. I would have liked to save it.
Had a 2016 F-150. Even with the 18” wheels and standard suspension, the ride was complete garbage. Nearly got a concussion every time the rear wheels traveled over an expansion joint on the highway.
Ram rides 100x better. But if you are a ride quality snob like me, stick with the 18 inch rims...
You should definitely be able to get into a Big Horn in the high 30s if you are judicious with the options.
5th gen was a big leap forward, especially in crashworthiness.
But the Ram Classic is certainly still cheaper than a 5th gen, comparably equipped.
Ram chat person today says that the system no longer displays build status codes (e.g., D1, etc). He just said my vehicle is waiting for parts to become available. Does anyone know what status that corresponds to?
thanks!
Is there a good Reason Ram doesn’t seal it with a rubber gasket instead of the foam one people are describing? Or use some other method to “caulk” the edges so water can’t get in?
It seems like an easy fix, so I wonder if there is some benefit to the seal being not completely airtight/watertight.
Hi all,
Today I learned that the rear seats not only fold up, but also fold down. However, based on the pics, there isn’t much room back there.
Are you using the space behind the rear seats to store anything? If so, what? Looking for ideas!
I also bought a loaded Laramie with a price approaching that of a Limited. I love the Limited interior and would have liked the better headlights. However, did not want the potential air suspension reliability issues. I also prefer 18” wheels. If there was a Limited w/o air though, I might have...
it will, but the 8.4” screen is on many FCA products so they have had a lot of time (and lots of incentive) to optimize it and get it working well.
The 12” is only on the Ram (and relatively few of them). FCA hasn’t had the time to optimize it, and they probably won’t since Uconnect 5 is...
The 12 inch screen has lots of wow factor but it is functionally far worse than the 8.4. Not sure how many updates it will receive since it is a dead end for Ram. Uconnect 5 runs on a completely different OS.
I wasn’t able to find anywhere that could match them. That said, they won’t give you the big discount unless you finance with them at high APR.
Did you refinance after buying from them? Otherwise, the deal is actually not good.
