It's not all bad.
Sold my Big Horn and bought a Laramie and with the upside on the Big Horn the Laramie is going to cost me less to own than the Big Horn.
Stock is limited though. You might get lucky or you might not.
Most 275 wide tires say they can be mounted on up to a 9.5" wheel.
Many 285s say they can be mounted on up to a 10" wide wheel.
So you should be ok with 285s.
You could probably get a 275 on those wheels too but that's up to your tire shop if they will mount them. Some just go off the tire...
My first 2021 big horn had terrible gas mileage. Best was around 12.5mpg in winter and maybe 14.5mpg in the warmer weather.
My current Laramie has no problem getting 17mpg in mixed driving with my level lift and AT tires. I was able to hit 19mpg prior.
So from 14.5 -> 19mpg with no changes in...
Ram dealers don't need to offer free loaners to sell trucks.
Yes some dealers will do it too differentiate themselves. But for people to expect it from all is a bit ridiculous.
People are not going into this with the right expectations and then walk away with hate for the brand because they...
I had 275/60R20 Cooper AT3 4S tires on my Big Horn with the same suspension. I did like the look of the 33" tires on it.
Had vibration issues with that truck. Wheels, tires, or something else not entirely sure. Had bad gas mileage in that truck too.
Decided to just go with the 32" factory size...
Installed my Bilstein 6112s and 5160s. Mounted 275/55R20 General Grabber ATX tires.
Truck, wheels, and tires need to be cleaned but the mechanical work is done.
They just started to build 2022s or are about to start.
Staging lots are full of 2021 model trucks waiting to be loaded on haulers to be delivered to dealerships.
2022s are coming but so are 2021s.
Yes they are the same.
Have your tires checked. Tires can cause both problems.
You can also get an alignment and post the print out. You might have some other issues that typical alignment shops will not adjust. Many places only adjust front toe and that's it but you might have other issues...
I like it. Truck gets clean every time it rains. And when it needs a contact wash the coating makes washing so much easier.
I just sold this truck and picked up a Laramie. I plan to put this on the new truck too.
High speed vibration is a somewhat common problem on the ram.
It could be as simple as just balancing the wheels/tires. That hasn't worked for all other people. Many are still trying to figure out the root cause.
There are dozens of dealers around me. It almost never happens.
Ford dealers are the same way.
Cadillac does it because they are competing with brands that do it so they do it too. But your pay for it in the price of the vehicle.
I don't know why anyone expects a rental from a RAM dealer. It's not their business model.
Audi, BMW, Lexus? Yes of course. You pay for that as part of the inflated car prices. You don't pay for that with RAM.
