Has anybody checked body mounts? I chased a clunk going over speed bumps and uneven terrain for almost 4 years. Found a post where a TRX owner made the dealer find out why his truck was clunking and they found the body mounts to be poorly designed. They have a replacement that is much better...
I guess the next question is if anyone knows if the passenger screen can be added to an older truck with UC4? I'm thinking it's not possible to retrofit an older system with the screen, but I know people will start asking!
I disconnected my battery earlier this week to see if it would clear the Forward Collision Service message. It didn't. What I did notice was the loss of apps. Instead of the normal 18, there were 10. The AC didn't work as I couldn't change the temp. I've read where others said multiple key...
Did they change something on the rear bed step? or is it the lower plastic pieces missing on the bumper? The new bed step is considerably more visible when retracted than the one on my '21.
My truck was basically perfect from the factory and didn't appear to change after my level. All of my alignment issues came after the dealer tried aligning it.
The hardest part of mine was getting the wire harness clip to release from the frame. If that explains the difficulty level, then you understand just how easy it *should* be.
I installed the factory step, purchased from Marketplace, and it dropped right into place. I also didn't need to disconnect the wiring harness. I just removed the wire harness to frame plug, moved the cabling and installed the step. There were no clearance issues with the exhaust, wiring...
I had similar issues and the dealer aligned my truck 7 times trying to get it right. When finished, it still pulled slightly right and my wheel was off center at something like 11:30 or so. I found a thread on this forum where a user aligned his steering wheel and that fixed my issue.
If I...
Don't understand technology? If you only knew. I know plenty of tech. I've got 30 years of advanced tech under my belt. Do you? And, you don't need to replace a PC you purchased last year because of an update in operating systems this year. A 10 year old PC maybe, but a last year UC4...
No offense, but your response has no value to it. I could replace the UC4 system with an aftermarket setup that's better than UC5, also. The point I'm making is the limitations of UC4 can be easily dealt with by providing simple software upgrades. You didn't need to replace your PC hardware...
I was watching some videos that highlight the features of the '25 RAM. After seeing some of the Uconnect 5 features and options, I question why Stellantis hasn't taken any steps to provide an upgrade for the UC4 system software. The Off-Road pages on my Rebel take forever to load and so many...
What has me concerned are the issues still being seen with ADAS. My truck is a '21 and the Forward Collision Warning and service icons are on, so I have no auto braking or alerts. I'm actually glad it doesn't work, but my local dealer told me it was going to cost $200 for diagnostics since I'm...
The factory TRX tires make it wider. If you put the factory Rebel tires on those wheels, with the 1.5" spacers, it'll look much better. My truck has the factory 275-70 18 on the TRX wheels. The extra width of the TRX tires really stick out.
There's another issue of a clunk going over speed bumps or wash board terrain. I resolved that issue by replacing the 4 body mounts under the A and B pillars. The parts cost was less than $100, including shipping and took less than 30 minutes to replace. I've tried making the clunk happen by...
It could also be the way your seat is set up. I never had any issues in any vehicle so I thought the same thing when I got my Rebel. It turns out the lower seat cushion angle was causing me issues. I had the front up and the rear down and my back was killing me. After someone mentioned I...
Check your lower control arm bolts. After my alignment, I found the LCA bolt on the driver side was loose and the truck was creaking when going over uneven drives. I tightened it up and the creaking went away.
Like yours, my truck was fine after the level, but started making noise after the...
Since the OP used his own insurance to fix the truck, hit and run, he'd be filing the loss against his own insurance company. In theory, loss is loss and insurance is supposed to make you whole again after damages, but the risk is also there that his premiums will increase enough to offset the...
