You can try, but don't hold your breath. It's a common issue, so they may, but more likely, they will say warranty expired. They really aren't that expensive, if they say no, and you are mechanical. A few people replaced them themselves.

It's right in your vehicle description. You drive a limited. 1,000 pounds heavier than test vehicle. High drag tires. Pod lights, adding drag. Leveled truck. Aftermarket exhaust. I forget what else is in the description, but you have modded the truck, and every one can effect mileage.

It does not open the intake valve longer. The valves open and close by the grind of the cam. VVT only change the timing of the cams. What changes is lifters that drop out and come on. That's different than VVT.

Did you follow jumping procedure properly? If you hooked up cables to battery, instead of the proper way, explained in the manual, you could have fried a module. They also have to test the battery properly. Many people said their battery tested good, to find out later it was bad.

I just looked at that link. It's Ram Forumz, and although their picture for their site, shows a 5th gen, that post is from 2017, a 4th gen. Tazer DT wasn't invented.

I knew I saw that someone had done it. That was just what came up first google searching. Probably an old post, I didn't look at the date. At that time it may have been the only way they found. Tazer is good for a lot of things.

You can buy the parts, but wait. Check to see if your rear window, or third brake light, are leaking water. There are extensions to the warranties, for these issues. if there is a water leak from one of those, the RF hub should also be covered, if it caused damage.
