Currently I just run a factory muffler delete but I'm planning to go with a catback. What do you like so much about the Mopar? Do you get any drone? Any perceived performance increase? I'm in between the Mopar and Corsa.
I just ordered mine from the dealership. With 15% off coupon, total was $786.25. I couldn't find anywhere online to ship for free, so with the coupon, the dealer was actually my best price. It'll be available on 12/23 for pickup. I'm anxious to hear what it sounds like with my muffler...
I love it so far. The same rake is still there but it’s not quite as noticeable to me. Between the lift and tires it’s 4” higher and maybe hides the rake better (if that makes sense). As far as the ride, just adding the lift was close to factory but maybe ever so slightly stiffer on the highway...
Just got home from Discount Tire to have my Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed. So the 35x12.5r22s fit with NO trimming BUT it's damn close. Maybe 1/16 of an inch from rubbing. In any case, it's just very flexible rubbery plastic that it comes close to. I'm not too concerned and I don't think...
Had this been available when I bought my 2019 Laramie Black Appearance I would have bought it instead. At this point I’m happy enough with my Laramie, especially since I purchased the lifetime Mopar warranty.
I’ll update tomorrow with results. Discount Tire said if they don’t fit they will put my old tires back and there would be no charge. They’ve assured me they will fit with the 2 inch lift. Guess we’ll know tomorrow.
So just got my Ram back from the dealer today. A 5 hour install turned into 2 1/2 days. I took some measurements before and after lift (Center of hub to bottom of fender). Before Lift, 21 3/4" Front and 24" Back. After Lift, Front - 24" and Back - 26 1/4" . It looks like I gained 2 1/4...
I purchased the lift from BAM Wholesale (Brunswick Automart Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram) for $1,023.13. That was the best price I found on the lift kit. The numbers I listed above were labor only. So, I'll have just over $1,650 in this kit with parts and labor.
I purchased a Mopar Lifetime Service Plan and understand the 2" lift will be included as long as it's dealer installed, so it's worth a little extra for long-term piece of mind. If not for that, I'd install myself and take it somewhere for an alignment.
I'm having my Mopar 2" lift installed Tuesday and called around first for a few dealer estimates. I'm fortunate to have quite a few dealerships within a 60 mile radius. So, these are the prices I was given from 4 different dealerships: 1) $921.05 + $89 Alignment 2) $910 + $90 Alignment 3)...
The good thing about it, you can give it a go for little $$$. Take it around the block and test it out. If you don't like it, it's super easy to add the muffler afterwards. Good luck!
I haven’t noticed any impact on power, positive or negative. It’s not overly loud. It’s fairly quiet at idle but you hear it when you have a heavy foot. I had a MagnaFlow on my last truck, Titan Pro4x, and I think loudness is comparable between the two.
I deleted my muffler last week and left the resonators. Sounds great. No drone. I haven’t noticed any raspy sound. The local muffler shop only charged $80. They said if I didn’t like it, they’d weld a MagnaFlow on and just charge me for the muffler cost. I’m glad I went with their...
I just received my 2” Mopar lift kit yesterday and the Fox shocks part number ends in AA. They did include the extra spacers packaged with my kit though. The dealer is installing Tuesday so I’ll take some before and after measurements.
Thanks Rustin5! I'm concerned the difference may be the 11.5 vs. 12.5. With a 22" wheel, Ridge Grapplers smallest width is 12.5. I've read mixed threads where some folks say trimming was necessary and other seem to have no rubbing.
