Just know the canned tunes won't give you much but when you get a guy that knows how to tune you will be better off. As far as the warranty is concerned. No warranty can be denied just bc you have aftermarket parts. Just bc you went through a third party doesn't mean they will say warranty a...
I have not had this issue that you speak of. When it comes to recall work. If its not safety oriented and caused damage and death. The manufacturers typically are let off the hook. Im surprised the fix required the replacement of everything that could cause the problem. They couldn't narrow...
I thought add that I was able to get my transmission oil and filter changed saturday morning. I went into the service department to drop my keys off and ask a few questions. The cost of the service was 870 dollars. I believe another poster in this thread said 850. So I was happy with the...
Thanks for the reply. Ill just stick with what the dealer does then.
I just recently changed my transfer case oil. I used amsoil ATF as that what was reccomended.
I have a 2019 and mine has the 12" inch screen. Which is the big screen. I elected not to get air suspension b/c when its frigid they have been known to have issues. I could have gotten the E-torque but elected not to. Im not sure if there is any difference between the years. If there is...
thought I would share how much the dealer here in crawfordsville indiana will charge for a transmission oil and filter swap. 750 to 800. It was kind of a funny conversation. The guy said its not warranted on my truck. I said that maybe so by your standards but the manufacturer of the...
I changed my transfer case oil today. It was pretty dark when I drained it. Truck has 70k on it. I rarely pull a trailer and use the 4 wheel drive ever so often as im a heavy equipment operator. Sometimes our parking area is muddy. I was gonna change the rear diff. but I didnt have the...
Right on I will look into the better quality ones. To be honest I had not really heard of anyone having issues with filters until my own experience. Ive been a part of a mustang forum since 2007. I dont think i can recall anyone questioning filters. Ill switch based off this conversation...
Ive used fram for years and haven't had any issues. I just won't use STP anymore. There was a gentlemen that experienced the same issue as I did and his filter was a WIX
I did google it and found some info as I was draining oil. typically fram but this was a STP filter I took off and cut it open. I had seen where others said the filter caused there issue as well. So im not to concerned. Im reading normal now after changing.
I didnt but I did cut the top off and took the filter element out and looked at the bottom. I felt through the element and didnt feel or see anything concerning
Well today was a bit worrisome. I was driving home from work and noticed my oil pressure was reading low. Then the check engine light came on. I pulled over and checked it out real quick. Everything was fine. Checked oil and it looked good. I stopped at the local auto zone before going...
My wife has a Mazda CX-5 we purchased new in 2017. I do my own maintenance and never use amsoil. Still runs like a champ at 170,000 miles. I have 2007 Mustang I bought new. Never used amsoil. Still runs like a top. Maintenance is maintenance. As long as you are doing it. It will for sure...
