I think, you kinda answered your own points, and many of them I agree with.
Trucks are driven by the common Joe now, not just work trucks or tradesman.
I’m mid-management white collar, I’ve had trucks my whole life. For the same reason many of you do.. bigger, safety, ability… and just...
If you could get a Max Care warranty to cover your mileage, it may be worth it… but aftermarket, I’d steer away from.
With a big horn you don’t have air ride, probably don’t have all the tech in some higher trim trucks (heads up display, sensors for just about everything, etc)
As Willwork said...
Love/Hate with my air ride on my previous 15 and my current 23 limited.
So far, 100% trouble free on my 23.
It was one of the reasons I traded my 2015 in at 140K plus miles.
I had it into the dealer no less than 3 to 4 times, the last time it was 6 weeks…for the air ride.
Although I had, on...
I was gonna post…you can get that warranty for less than half that price. But it seems it’s not offered in CA..sorry..
Now, you know the rules, pics or it didn’t happen.. LOL.
Great deal, enjoy!
If I didn’t pay the bill, and have them on my truck, I wouldn’t have believed it myself.
Cheaper than retail tire centers and one for free ($1).
In the end, DEPENDING on if they need balancing in the future…and how many times, it may even out.
But for now, I’m way ahead…
I just replaced my factory Pirellis at 21K miles, perfect, even wear.. just soft tires. They were at 4/32 and Mopar is offering a buy 3, get 1 for a dollar sale.
My dealer got me the Michelin LTX MS/2 for this deal.
Price per tire was $19 cheaper than Belle or Discount up here in Metro Detroit...
I believe… there are links in the suspension that sense ride height and the compressor adjusts accordingly.
This is a total shot in the dark, but maybe the link for that corner is broken/bent and the compressor is trying to overcompensate for it..
Total guess, but it may be as simple as that...
Under the hood.
I’m unaware of a 48v trickle charger/float/maintainer…
Hook it up to the primary 12V battery.
Once the truck starts, the generator will power/charge the 48V and then it steps down to charge the primary.
You were right. I opened it up for a vent the other day. Decided to open the pano.
Damp moisture had the smell on the screen..so I’ll be cleaning it this weekend as well as cleaning out the drain tubes as well..
Thanks again Jtr….
It’s well known that 23 is the best year… so I’d just keep that.. LOL.
In all seriousness..
With the 23 being trouble free… and you not actually “Needing” a new truck..
I’d wait too.
I don’t know if the hemi makes a comeback, but 2nd year with the power plant in Ram is probably a safer bet than...
I think Ivory white may be my next color.
While I love my Patriot blue when it’s clean, especially against the blackout of the Night edition…it’s clean for 5 minutes..lol.
My previous was a bright white Ram, even dirty, it didn’t show it as much as my new one.
I really like the Ivory paint.. if...
Rim size depends on what you plan on doing and where you drive.
I had 20’s for my previous 3 Rams.
I have 22’s now on my night edition. They are the nicest looking rims I’ve had, factory, by far to date.
The factory Pirellis on 22’s suck for mileage. Grip is fine.. I’m at 21K miles…and they’re...
Like you fastblackram, I have a 23 RAM and 23 Grand Cherokee in the driveway, spare keys in the mud room, hanging, and never had an issue. I think… longest I let my truck sit in the driveway was a week while we took her GC to KY and TN for vacation, but zero issues when we got back.
I believe that the MGU is covered under federal emissions warranty for 8/80. Powertrain is not 8/80.
Your 2021 should have a 3/36 bumper to bumper, 5/60 powertrain, 8/80 federal emissions.
If your dealer was calling the 8/80 powertrain…may be time to re-educate them.
I too purchased the Max...
