Yeah, that's the other hard part, Aaron has a Longhorn almost exactly as I would order it sitting on the lot (I'd skip the sunroof, just one more place for water to get in).
It's a tough choice because my AC feels fine to me (I'm in Louisiana, so if it sucked I'd know about it), I have the 8.4 which works great, and my truck is a '20 so the window frame cracking doesn't seem to be as big an issue. I feel like I'd be an idiot getting rid of a truck that's been...
I ran my truck through Vroom and Autonation. MSRP was $63K and I got it for $52K in Dec 2019. It has 23K miles on it now. Autonation offered $51,000 while Vroom is offering $54,550 (up $1000 from last week).
It is very tempting to sell this one and move up to a Longhorn, but this truck has...
That's interesting about the dealer not honoring the MOPAR service plan without added charges, mine does accept it and has not charged extra yet.
Glad to hear your dealer is all over the correct oil to use, mine just hands the truck over to the high school kids in the quick lube bay who just...
I would not assume the dealer will put in the correct oil. I've had my truck to the dealership 3 times for an oil change and all 3 times the techs had Rotella T6 in their hands when I made them stop and go get the correct oil for the Gen 3 (MOPAR 68231020AA).
Also, MOPAR has a service plan for...
Not sure what you are towing, but my truck has the OEM Wildpeaks and I think they do great towing our 6500 pound travel trailer. I air them up to 40 PSI and find them very stable, no sway. I have 22,000 miles on them now and they are wearing great (still 9/32 remaining).
Just to echo what others have said, it definitely sounds like you do not have enough weight on the steer axle. You'll need to take the truck and trailer to the scales to get the WDH properly set up.
One side note from the Wiki article, even though Chrysler now manufactures the ZF transmission in its South Carolina plant, the 8HP75 used in our EcoDiesels is still sourced form Germany. Not sure why, I assume it is because the engine is also sourced from Europe. Anyway, pretty cool that this...
That's what I'm seeing. Dealers offering great prices for your old vehicle aren't offering much in the way of discounts on new vehicles. I'm seeing the same in the housing market around here...yes, exisitng homes are selling for top dollar, so you may make money on your old home, but you'll be...
Same here. I'm very happy with my truck and don't see myself ever going back to a gas engine, but it's good to know I could trade up to a 3/4 ton if I had to and not lose my shirt.
With the inventory shortages most dealerships around here (NW Louisiana/East TX) only have one or two 1500s on the lot with EcoD engines. Yesterday I was browsing the inventory at a dealership in TX and noticed they had a Longhorn with the EcoD and my jaw about hit the floor when I saw the...
Nice truck. I had the Dual Liner in my last truck and thought it was great. Looks better than the average drop in, better fit and and the rubber bed mat provides great protection.
When I tightened down the mounting rails on mine I put some pressure on them with my leg to ensure they were firmly butted up against the truck bed side rails. That may gain you a bit more clearance and stop the binding. It also looks like your mounting rails are tipped down slightly which...
I had the same problem. After swapping the speed sensor to the right rear wheel and ABS module didn't fix the problem, the tech statrted running wires. Eventually found one that was rubbing against a body mount under th ebed. So far that seems to have fixed the problem.
From what I've read the CP4 really only seems to be an issue on the larger diesel engines in the 2500/3500, mainly because they are pushing so much more fuel through. The EcoDiesel does not have the same high demand for fuel as the 6.7L engines and has not seen the issues with the CP4 that the...
I use one of these from Orvis. Very well made and does a great job of protecting the whole seat. Easily removeable for cleaning. Get the XL for our trucks.

We had a bigger trailer with the 2500 (34 ft overall length and 7500 lbs vs 28 ft overall and 6500 lbs). The current set up with the EcoD and shorter trailer is actually smoother to tow with, but I think that is partly due to me being very exact with hitch set up since I have less margin with...
