I have a Carven exhaust installed and I do not have any drone in MDS mode. It does 'feel' a bit odd, but that is understandable as they have disabled half of the cylinders :-). I am pretty sure that I read somewhere in the manual it can be disabled if you are not happy with it.
I agree, the Bedrug is awesome. I had one in my previous truck for 14 years. For a work truck I might consider a different approach but for my normal use it was fine. I even carried a couple of loads of gravel (but I did put a tarp down before loading the gravel).
I have a Bedrug and a Truxedo Lo Pro tonneau cover on my 2021 Rebel. Very happy with this set up. I removed my cargo rails before installation and then just put them back. The most difficult (fiddley) part of the installation was cutting around the bed lights.

I have no problems with either one. As mentioned by others the stop/start is essentially transparent to me. Before my foot hits the gas pedal the engine has already restarted.
The only thing I do not like is when mds cuts in the engine can feel like it has a 'miss' (which of course it does).
I have a Carven exhaust. It just bolds on so you can do the same thing - put it on now and put the stock exhaust back on when you turn in the lease. You can hear their sound on their website.
When you select the red/black interior their is red trim at various places on the dash including the rings around the gauges. I will try and post some pictures tomorrow.
The Bedrug in my last truck lasted over 14 years. I used Griots Interior Cleaner on the spots and they cleaned up pretty well. So I would say, no problem keeping it looking good.
