FWIW I first used a dog hammock in my wife's old Volvo with tan seats. Well on a hot day, the grippy material on the bottom of the hammock left black residue on the seats, some of which would not come off. For this reason I always put towels between the seat and hammock.

I tend to avoid vehicles the first year of a redesign. But in my case with Ram the ecodiesel engine was new as well in 2019.
