A Longhorn likely isn't going to have much payload to start with. My limited has the Off Roaf Group, but no sunroof, MFT. or Ramboxes and it's 1317#. 12% of 9000# is 1080#, leaving not much payload for whatever is in the front or back of the truck.
All the advice here is good.
For as long as I continue to tow our travel trailer, I'm hoping its successful because I worry about the long term support for my EcoDiesel. It seems like it would have the diesel's low end torque and easy towing, plus the convenience of being able to pull through a gas pump when towing--it...
Im becoming increasingly intrigued by the V6, but in the Ramcharger setup. I worry about the long term support for my Ecodiesel (which i love.)
I dont plan to trade soon but if I did, the Ramcharger would get a very serious look.
This has been debated here (I think) and definitely on the Lance message board I'm on, but I'm pretty sure that there is no allowance for a driver in the payload. It does assume a full tank of fuel, though. So, the full weight of the driver is deducted from the payload.
I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly, but for a while on my 2021, I wasn't getting audio turn-by-turn through Android Auto and I THINK it was because the phone was connected by USB but also Bluetooth was on. For some reason they weren't getting along. I don't pay attention now so I can't say...
Wow. I might be misremembering but I'm pretty sure I've seen my truck in eight gear at 35-40mph. I'll have to look next time I'm driving it. I guess it's the low end torque of the diesel?
While I was never a CRX guy back in the day, I think it's awesome to see people keeping the older cars alive and out there. If I go to a Cars and Coffee, I'd spend more time looking at cars like yours than a Porsche, etc...
I've got a BakFlip MX4 tri-fold cover and have had very little water leakage even in extremely hard rains. When it has leaked (about 2 or 3 times) it's been maybe a tablespoon or two, at the corners, not in the middle. It does not take up that much bed space when folded up (maybe six inches...
That picture was actually when I was picking it up from a guy in Virginia. I always liked them in my high school/college days, but never had one so I decided I cant' leave the earth without having experienced one. It's nearly forty years old, so it doesn't ride like a modern vehicle, but it...
I saw that picture online but am not enough of a gearhead to be able to envision it inside of an engine bay. The version I saw highlighted some of the components and showed that an electric motor was adjacent to the engine, so that obviously takes up some of the space. What is the silver tank in...
I'm not towing as heavy a camper and have a Limited vs a Rebel, but I've found that getting the WDH right makes a world of difference. I'm a pretty cautious driver and I feel every real and imaginary problem when towing. I've had my WDH improperly dialed in and 55mph on a calm day was a little...
I'm curious what the engine bay looks like in the Ramcharger setup compared to the same truck with just the 3.6L gas engine. Is there more empty space? Less?
I suppose the A/C etc... are powered by the batteries. So fewer belts coming off the engine?
There used to be a way to see a trucks payload by its VIN code. When I was researching our truck, I'd look on dealer sites to find trucks as close to what I was going to order as possible. Then, I'd take their VIN off the window sticker and plug it into the payload-by-vin site. I was able to...
My 2021 came with the Falkens but they are not the ones you see in the tire store. The tread pattern is less aggressive. Maybe it's different now? Still, I like them. I can't speak to snow traction though as I haven't had to deal with it in any amounts worth mentioning.
I picked it up today. I haven't had time to look it up but he said they tried to run it through warranty but this particular part was not part of the power train warranty. That surprises me as it's not really a wear part.
I have a good relationship with the service department so I kind of hope...
