The ballpark is either ~11k lbs if you have the 3.92 axle ratio, or ~8k lbs if you have the 3.21 axle.
Those are the on paper numbers Ram advertises for those that dont want to do the detailed math mentioned above.
The reality is that neither tow rating matters if you will have any...
You cannot go wider than ~11.6” on a stock rim, regardless of height, so that’s why 295/70/18 is the consensus.
There is one guy here who runs a 35” stock but is able to do so because he ran a 285/75/28, and NOT the traditional 35x12.5”.
I can’t recall who that member was or if he off roads...
Agreed, thats what I'd like. And the kicker was Ram had for the longest time a picture of a Delmo Red Big Horn Night Edition on their home page. Must be a Canadian option.
Like dangit, thats what I want right there!!
It is pretty common that Special APR financing and additional cash back do not combine - it's usually one or the other.
It's also common for incentives to vary by geography, especially state. If the dealer you were interested in is not in CA, that is quite possibly true.
Note: No 2024 F150s have been delivered, it is believed. They all are on a QA/QC hold for dubious reasons about which Ford hasn't said much. They apparently aren't sharing much with dealers, or are telling dealers to keep quiet. So if you have a dealer teling you they can get you a 24 soon...
Amen man! Can you imagine a world where you just focused on something & finished it out? What could be accomplished if you could focus on something for more than 45 minutes without someone crying, bleeding, yelling, or being late for something - usually a combination of those things.
13% profit margin for Stellantis is scary thin.
Like the other companies mentioned, I get hauled onto the carpet if my projects dip below 40% profit margin.
But the point is how stats lie and invoke sensational responses, meant to make people emotional, rather than knowledgeable.
On one...
Ram just didn't get it.
They weren't attracting customers because they had the best V8.
It wasn't the most powerful, nor the quickest, nor the cleanest, nor the thriftiest.
But the package overall had the most character of any half ton option, and the Hemi V8 is by far the most musical and...
Makes me so sad when I see a raptor or TRX with a puck lift.
Why did you just drop $80k+ for a vehicle with advanced suspension if you just want to drive tall??!!
Gotta say, if you can get fender flares, adaptive cruise (Advance Safety Group) and a power Passenger seat, Big Horn just became my favorite trim.
I hate leather in a truck but love goodies.
Also, if I recall the gen 5.0/Hemi ram only got those 12k+ tow ratings thanks to a special Max Tow package available only on a Tradesman Quadcab 2wd.
I wonder if they did away with that package for 2025, and if a better comparison would be between 24 v 25 for a Crew Cab 4x4?
But if we’ve learned anything from the forums, it’s that no one pays attention to the tow rating anyway lol.
So for real world use they’re pretty similar.
What I don’t understand is why the payload is lower. I’d have to think the Hurricane, even with all that plumbing and cooling, is still...
When I went from E range DuraTracs to bigger, but lighter E range Bridgestone Revo3’s, it felt like taking off ski boots and putting on running shoes.
I’ve likewise learned to buy a tire for the 95% use case, and it hasn’t let me down yet in the other 5% cases for hunting, camping or snow.
I believe this due more to the fact HO is only available on the fatter trims. That weight comes off the GCWR number (which I suspect most trims with the Hurricane will share) to limit weights the truck can CARRY & STOP (not pull).
For prolonged load as in towing, larger turbos flowing more air...
The width is your problem with stock offset wheels.
If you want to be 33" tall but don't have a width requirement (and IMHO why would you unless you are a serious rock crawler or mud bogger... but then 33's?), might I suggest a 275/70/18, which is guaranteed to fit 100% stock, offers a much...
You missed one big advantage of the Spacer/puck though:
You can bolt together 2 or 3 of them things and getchya a nice 6 inch lift on the cheap.
This approach is just as good for wallet as your cv axles.
I was surprised Discount Tire installed my 295/70/18s when the truck was stock.
I told them from the git go that i would sign anything they needed and would not hold them responsible for any fitment or rubbing issues.
They shrugged it off and didnt make me do anything at all - so easy.
And of...
