Thanks. You explanation makes total sense and I didn't consider that when I made my purchases. I thought about going with the JBL 6x9s, but didn't want the sound stage too low and have had good results with CDT in the past.
I ended up getting JL Audio C2-350x and swapped them in for the JBLs...
I did the JBLs in the six speaker system and don't like them. The stock dash speakers in the base system are 8 ohms vs. 2-ohms for the Alpine, and swapping them out for 2.3 ohms JBLs put too much power to them, in comparison to the door speakers. Ended up with no Bass and/or overly shrill highs...
Yes. I tested the polarity of all speakers and ensured they matched when they were swapped out. No changes were needed to any of the speakers using the Metra 71-050 adapters on the doors and 72-7902 on the dash.
EPA testing is flawed.... rear end ratio has a SIGNIFICANT impact on MPG, and the EPA only tests ONE variant (3.21 standard gear ratio.) It seems to me, they should test options known to have significant impacts on MPG and rate them accordingly.
The fact that the rebels are getting about 20%...
I put the GX302s in my truck in combination with CDT CL-69S.2 in all 4 doors. I think the 2-ohm 3.5s are getting too much power in comparison to the door speakers in this combination, since they are wired in parallel. There is almost no bass from the 6x9s and the highs from the dash are overly...
Based on the way the system works. It's gonna be amp or ANC, but not both. Technically, you could try it but amplifying the ANC signals will likely introduce problems and lead to loud resonating in the cab.
On the plus side, if you disable ANC and add an amplified system, you can just turn...
I just placed an order from an online parts house under the old part number and got the same response from them. No longer available. New part number is: 82215287AB and Mopar is supposed to update with more info on 2/19.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the stock subwoofer available? I have the 6-speaker system and am considering mounting a slim sub box in the stock location and would like to know what I am working with.
Are those the standard powersteps? or the XL? Your truck appears lifted and they hang pretty low. I'd be worried about how low those sit if they are the standard steps on a stock height truck.
Physics. 2019 Ram is bigger/heavier, more capable, and has significantly more horsepower than your 2004. The fact that it is getting similar gas mileage is a feat of engineering as it is. Trucks buyers care more about the capabilities than gas mileage... so the engineering dollars are spent...
I purposefully avoid leather. Even with good care it looks like crap after a few years. With good care, cloth seats can look brand new after a decade.
The big horn's deluxe bucket seats are a really high quality cloth. Has a nice texture to them and is a thick/durable material. Almost feels...
I am a diehard GM guy. My last truck was an 03 GMC Sierra I bought brand new. GM lost me. First their exterior designs are hideous on the new Silverado. The GMC is a bit better looking, but they are a terrible value now. I paid about $1000 more for my old Sierra over the competing Silverado at...
Not unreasonable though... espicially on a higher end truck. There is a TON of profit built in on those things. I got 30% off on a $49K MSRP Big Horn, so if they can do it there, they can definitely do it on the higher end.
