It took me a while to convince the wife to get a truck also. Started out with a lease of an Express model 2014 Ram - it was inexpensive and very non-committal. She was happy with it. The crew cab was more than enough space for two kids, dog and comfortable for adding a third adult in the...
Congrats Slim! And thanks for taking the time to report back. It's great to hear some of the early issues people were having with ac, hk, fit/finish seemed to be figured out by the time you got your build. Makes me even more excited to get mine!

I have read on some old rebel posts that people have also switched the front and back 'LINKAGE HEIGHT SENSOR'. I have wondered if one...
Thanks for sharing. I have same color on order and have been considering a few options, blackout being one of them. I wish the truck had less chrome on it, especially the grill. I am for sure going to do wheels and tires, either black or grey variety (perhaps even fuel couplers). If I were...
If just looking for a level, have you seen the adjustable replacement links? People have have using this inexpensive mod on past trucks for years. @0212353 used adjustable links on the front of his 19 setup. I have read on some old rebel posts that people have also switched the front and back...

Does anybody know what component on the stock truck, be it axle, brakes, suspension, wheels, tires frame, etc, keeps the GVWR at where it is? I'm not interested in changing the sticker, or legal issues. I am interested in the max capabilities of individual components and the hierarchy of...
From a stock perspective, yes. What is the factor that keeps GVWR where it is on the half ton? Are there after market options that can make carrying max payload safer? If so what would the next item to be replaced on the existing truck to give more headroom?
So if I'm understanding correctly payload could increase by either reducing weight on the truck OR increasing GVWR. Reducing weight is hard. How could GVWR be increased? I incorrectly assumed air suspension would allow for higher GVWR but instread it leaves GVWR the same and reduces payload...
The 48v mild hybrid system is not going to be unique to Ram. The parts are from tier 1 suppliers and will be found in more and more vehicles. Grabbed a quick article at the top of Google search:

Do not listen to me because; a) I have not received my build or driven etorque, b) I can justify anything when making decisions on emotion.
However, f you keep you vehicle for 3-4 years, the value of the upgrade after that period of time is not zero. You may have the pleasure of driving...
Well, looks like I am wrong about the 360 on Limited. Sorry guys! Don't know why I thought I couldn't get 360 without stepping up to level 1 on limited.
I was just informed by my co-worker that saw a laramie etorque/rambox on the lot at a local dealer that is on my way home from work:

Might have to stop in after work and see the unicorn myself.
