Yeah I think the real reason we're all joking about it is that for those of us who own the 3.92's, 99% of us just wanted them. Almost none of us "needed" the option. The only situation that justifies this option is if you're regularly using a 1/2 ton pickup to do 8000+ pounds of towing. Even...
That is a great idea, and I do have a 1500 watt inverter. The only drawback I see is that it will continually be drawing a small current or I will have to switch it on and off.
Well, I decided to run some 10 gauge wire back to the bed and feed it into a wire loom to protect it. There's an unused high voltage post on the power distribution module under the hood where I can put a loop fitting and a bolt. I'll zip tie it to protect it all the way back and feed it...
Hey all,
I really am enjoying my 22 Laramie, but one of the things that’s really annoying about this truck is they makes no effort to put power into the bed. Has anyone come up with a solution? I have read a few threads on this but saw nothing that looked like a real, permanent solution…
Seems like an important fact here is that he didn’t shred the belt until he hooked up the trailer. The added force needed to get the truck moving probably caused the etorque belt to slip and start chewing itself up. I hope that’s just a fluke but it hardly ever is with these mass produced...
Absolutely! If I was worried about payload I would have ordered a Ford maverick!!

Happened to me with a 12 foot uhaul trailer. The trans went into limp mode and wouldn’t shift. Had to turn it off and turn it back on like you said. Had less than 3000 miles on the truck. Dealer read code and it said something like implausible data from Tcm. Cleared the code and stopped...
I got the 3.92 in the 2022 Laramie I ordered for a couple reasons. The biggest one was that this truck isn’t my only car and I bought it in the first place because I really needed a truck available to me for my projects etc. because of that I tried I spec everything on the truck to maximize...
Hey folks. I ordered the mopar running boards and installed. Couple of tips:
1. Look online for discounts. I got about 300 bucks off mine by looking around.
2. Don't do what some are doing on these YouTube videos and snaking the wires behind the inner fender wells with them still in...
I liked the interior as others have mentioned, but also I wanted a power plant that was tried and true. The 5.7 fit the bill for Me. Tested and reliable large displacement pushrod v8. Lots of history with that platform. I was not concerned with getting thr absolute best gas mileage or...
I agree it looks like the guy had to have something on board to have done that. Just not possible to be that stupid he must have been high.
On a different note we now know the answer to the question "will a ram 1500 in 2wd push a ram 3500 across dry pavement while it is parked?"
Alls well...
I would rent a car and drive home in that. Chalk it up to a mistake. Keep in mind you'll also have to pay tax title for the truck you want to buy, that will eat significantly into your ability to break even or make any money on the deal.
I have a 22 with an off road package. I don't mind jumping up into the truck, but I'm starting to notice with some of my older and shorter passengers, it is an issue. I have a little folding step but it's not a great solution. I really should have gotten the power running boards.
What are my...
HI all,
Minor note here to those who just got a 5th Gen: do yourself a favor and don't forget to smear a generous portion of dielectric grease on your trailer wiring plug, especially the 4 pin. I have owned my truck for 3 months and opened the cover to have a look at it the other day and the...
There are plenty of flat surfaces around here not sure why that's so strange. Whether I'm in cruise or not, the mileage at 70 is the same.
I have gotten better mileage going slower and babying the truck, but nobody drives less than 75 on the turnpike here on the east coast.
Driven like a...
Mine is 14.5 everywhere I go and I drive pretty conservatively. Even cruise control on a flat surface at 70 mph is 14 or 15 mpg. It is what it is, I guess!
