Just drive it home, immediately put it for sale online, and profit. 🤣

#Truth I moved to Houston from Michigan a few years ago, and in 2017 we had a rain storm and the temperatures dropped below freezing, causing ice to form on all the roads. On my way home that night, I saw no fewer than 10 single-car accidents where people crashed into the median on I-10 because...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you haven't received a build sheet yet, I don't think there is any chance you get your truck before hunting season. There are guys here who received their build sheets mid-September and their trucks haven't even left the SHAP area. So, I'd start asking...

This is what my daughter would call a "massive flex." Evidently, if you "flex" on the wrong person, you're liable to get punched in the face. This forum is the wrong person. :D But really, congrats. There is no discernible rhyme or reason, and when you get the call up to the big leagues, you...

I hate when dealers do all those ridiculous add-on charges. $4k in dealer add-ons is a joke, especially when they charge you $399 upfront in the event you lose a key in the first year. How about you charge me if I lose the damn key? I never pay those fees, but the fact that dealers try to...

Not to rain on your parade, but a few weeks ago Ram Chat said the same thing to me (that my case would be escalated and someone would reach out). All I got was an email basically reciting to me what Ram Chat was telling me: parts being scheduled, will be built soon, check back in a few weeks...

That’s actually a very good thought… it would explain why Mark Dodge, one of the largest (if not largest) volume dealers has yet to have a special order truck go to D1 (or, at least that’s what I thought someone mentioned the other day).

Well, given that you have a VIN in the 171 range, your chances of getting a build sheet in the next few days is very high. 😂😢😭

You can't just slip that in and not explain. What the hell do you do that allows the second thing you do after you get to work is eat a sandwich, and where do I sign up for such a job?

Well, crap. Way to rain on my parade there, @Eighty. I was having a whole "The Hangover" moment here and you ruined it.

Well, let's utilize the brethren we have. I say to you, the magnificent members of this fine forum, check your POC's to see if you have "Special Scheduling Condition VII" (or any other such condition), and, if so, report back if you have not yet received a build sheet.

Can't argue with that. You can't put a price on peace-of-mind.

What I know for sure is that, per the 2022 Ram Tracker that you and @triple_B put together, the 16 highest VIN American build sheets each contain the "Special Scheduling Condition VII." That seems pretty meaningful.

I'm generally the same, but with interest rates so low, it's hard not to leverage them. We could have paid cash for our house, but with an interest rate of 2.49%, why would we? Even in a down year (outside of massive downturns), a good index fund can get you 5%+, and you can expect an average...

Well, and I don't mean to make more work for you or anyone else, what is the distribution thereof relative to VINs? That is, if 100 trucks have been built, and the 33 highest VINs are those with the special scheduling condition, then it could obviously mean something. It's just as possible for...

Yeah, I'm with @KWKSLVR here. Having a budget means not going over the budget, even if you can. That's literally the point of creating a budgeted item. If I set aside a particular amount of money for something, then I intend on spending no more than that amount, regardless of how badly I want...

@Fliphappy, what did you do to get "Special Scheduling Condition VII" on your build sheet, and/or did you even know about it?

    2022 Orders

Interesting development... I just clicked on three random build sheets for trucks that have VINs much higher than mine... every single one of them has "Special Scheduling Condition VII" on the build sheet. EDIT: Make it seven out of seven. EDIT 2: Make it ten out of ten. I'm done checking now...
