Your issue was low volume, which was an issue back in 2019 when the 5th gen Ram first came out.
A lot of people had that issue and RAM fixed it.
I saw your issue was fixed.
I posted about a different issue but felt this was the place to do it since the title of this thread is 'Harmon Kardon...
There are numerous threads on the 19 speaker HK system, and the consensus is that it's much too 'boomy'.
Those that are saying theirs sounds terrific either 1) have the bass slider on the EQ down into negative territory, 2) disconnected their subwoofer, or 3) they truly don't understand how to...
This is incredibly fantastic news. You've tried different music styles/sources and the boomyness is truly gone?
It would be great if someone could actually verify that FCA is correcting the HK 'boomyniess' in a TSB or some kind of 'dealer only' modification.
I know you don't have much...
Are you 100% sure about this?
So you plugged it back in before you took it to the dealer and when you left the dealer the sub wasn't booming anymore?
Wonder if it's something that needs to happen at the dealer or if it was an over the air update?
I have dreams about plugging my sub back in and...
I'm with you brother. I was really disappointed not to be able to put my V1G2 up high above the RVM in my Ram.
I also hate to advertise that I have a RD, including using a blend mount.
Look at my post on page 4 of this thread.
I settled on the left side dash. Big compromise, but I'm used to it...
This is why tire reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone says this when they first get new tires.
Wait until you have 5k - 10k miles on them and then I'll believe you when you say they're still quiet and ride great.
Tires lose their soft, suppleness after a few thousand miles and...
Good Point! Forgot to mention that all tires are nice and quiet when they're new.
It's after a few thousand miles that the rubber compound gets a bit harder from all the heat cycles and you REALLY start to hear A/T and more aggressive tires make noise.
I always laugh at tire reviews. Of...
If money is a concern check out the Hankook Dynapro AT2's. Good looking A/T tire.
Also, be prepared, no A/T tire is going to be as quiet as your Dueler's, none. Be prepared for some tire noise, especially if you like to drive with windows up and no radio. You'll notice the difference.
Gotta...
I sometimes feel a vibration in the gas pedal when I'm driving shortly after startup on hot days when the a/c is pumping. Seems to go away after a few minutes.
I never needed 4-LO when I used to do the Corolla beach. Just seems like you'd be over-revving your motor for no reason. 400HP & Torque is plenty to move you around on sand without needing LO, even if you stop in sugar sand. Just air down your tires.
If you stay close to the water (ocean) 4-HI will be just fine. It's when you venture up toward the dunes that you'll hit the sugar sand. You can approach sugar sand two ways, fast and stay on top or slow and power through. Not sure I'd use 4-LO on sand unless extreme circumstances dictated that.
^ This is the exact beach where I learned not to have your tires at 40psi in sugar sand.
Used to drive there as a teenager back in the late 80's when there was very little enforcement.
I remember it goes @ 15 miles north to the Virginia border and was mostly deserted.
There comes a point when the bed of a pickup is too short to really be practical/useful.
I draw the line at my 5'7" bed. Any shorter than that and you begin to eliminate plywood, motorcycles, ATV's etc.
Just make them an SUV so stuff stays safe/dry.
Well the first thing you need to do if you want to enjoy the experience is to air your tires down to about 15lbs psi when you get there. Otherwise your engine is going to work REALLY hard when you hit sugar sand. Ask me how I know this.
Also, obviously you need to have a good air compressor...
