Not a single person with a 2020 model year truck is reporting getting an update in a very long time.
I wonder if these 'updates' aren't really just bug fixes for the 2021 release?
Every person in this thread reporting an update has a 2021 truck.
MDS that gets amplified with an aftermarket exhaust sounds worse than any Ford Ecoboost engine.
It's just an awful sound to be coming from a V-8 truck.
x2. Former F-150 owner here.
The RAM's are heavier, thus making them ride nicer.
Also, the RAM's 8-speed tranny blows the clunky/jerky 10-speed offering from Ford away.
Just makes the RAM so much smoother.
Another benefit, other than increased MPG, with higher octane is the truck will be slightly quicker. I also notice with higher octane the truck feels smoother under light to medium acceleration.
The point I'm making is simply that the 3.92 is better if you bought the truck to tow heavy. And that the 3.21 is better if you bought the truck without heavy towing in your plans.
Look, I have a 3.92 and do not tow with my truck. I'm pretty sure if I drove a 3.21 I'd much rather have that...
You both missed my point.
Open your mind and pretend a 2.62 rear does exist on our trucks.
Seems the 3.21 guys just don't get the point of this post:
You have to tow a 7,500lb trailer over the Rockies.
You have two Ram 1500's at home with the same 5.7 Hemi engine and transmissions.
One has a...

You have two Ram 1500's at home with the same 5.7 Hemi engine and transmissions.
One has a 3.21 rear and the other has a unique 2.62 rear.
Which one are you going to use to tow that trailer over the Rockies?
Ah, but you're splitting hair's here. The rabbit hole it much too deep on this topic, so I figured out the easy answer which is what I posted:
If you tow, 3.92 is better.
If you don't tow, 3.21 is better.
To solidify my point:
Heavy Load (i.e. towing) the 3.92 Gets it going easier (1st & 2nd...
I have this setup on mine on all 4 corners and have the truck dialed in exactly how I like it to sit. (@1-1/2" of rake)
But the air suspension has upper and lower tolerances before self-adjusting.
I see variations in ride height on the front and rear up to 3/4"(from highest to lowest) when...
Agreed. This is undoubtedly the worst time I can remember in decades to purchase a car, new or used.
If you don't NEED to buy a car now, I personally wouldn't. Better to sink a few hundred into your existing ride to keep it going for another year.
VIBRATIONS.
The only time the dealer is going to do a good road force balance is if you make it a condition before purchase.
Take a bottle of water with you when test driving and make sure you hit all normal speeds 0-80mph. The bottle of water in the cup holder is a 'tell all' with vibrations...
LOL. I did the same thing overstuffing the sub with polyfil. Made it worse actually.
Just unplug your sub, be done with it, and enjoy the best sound that HK is ever going provide without expensive modifications.
Once the sub is unplugged set your EQ to roughly +4 Bass, 0 Mid, +4 Treble and enjoy.
