If cost is a major issue, I have a Trident 3 fold cover that was $250 and works great. It's a soft cover with aluminum framing, but it's worked great for me so far and holds up fine at 80mph...
Good question. The engine is significantly lighter than the Hemi's. So why would they drop tow ratings? Maybe they reduced braking or a frame/suspension component?
I unplugged my sub last year to make the HK system tolerable. Am I missing out on a quieter cabin without the sub connected? A noticeable amount anyway?
If you have power running boards DO NOT extend them down while in a car wash. At least not a moving carwash with a conveyer belt. Ask me how/why I know this.
Ripped my driver side board clean off. I was lucky enough to find a welder to reinstall it. Otherwise it was a $700 F up.
While I'm in 100% agreement the HK system from the factory blows, I firmly believe the 3-band EQ was not a cost cutting measure. It's a safety issue. Imagine fiddling with a 5-band or 7-band sensitive touch screen EQ while driving. It's just not safe to be fiddling with a touch screen EQ...
If the noise occurs mostly when the windows are up and around 40mph, then it's the back cabin wall vents rapidly opening and closing.
The answer is in this thread which I started in November 2020. What is this intermittent booming noise coming from the back?
Those questions are stupid. Not once do they address the MPG difference between the two identically powered engines.
What is the MPG improvement if I go with the one that sounds like a lawn mower?
I wonder if this inline 6 turbo will be smoother than the ecoboost V-6 turbo?
I had a 2.7 ecoboost, and while it was fast AF, it was not very smooth at light to moderate acceleration levels. It was 'jerky' until you cranked up the boost.
I've found it's tough to find a direct inject turbo...
Furthers my point about how badly Ram balanced the HK system. If your bass slider lives it's entire existence at or below the '0' line, then the system is not balanced correctly. Having only a 3-band EQ you're missing out on much more than just super low frequencies. You're messing with all...
I have long since isolated the issue and reported on it. The issue I was having was the two vents on the rear cabin wall open/close rapidly at @ 38MPH with all windows up and sunroof closed.
My fix was shoving a pool noodle down between the cab and bed(don't shove too far that you block the...
I didn’t mean to be condescending.
The HK system is still not fully balanced with the sub unplugged. It is definitely missing the low lows. But it’s much closer to being balanced now.
To each his own. A balanced system can tend to sound a little thin to bass lovers.
Many people have not discovered BALANCED sound; meaning you’re hearing everything from the deep low frequencies to the mid frequencies and all the way up to the really high frequencies, all without competing with each other. This is the hallmark of a quality audio system.
NOT just overbearing...
