Most people reach a point in their lives when they finally realize that comfort is more important than appearance.
This goes with more than just automobiles.
Looks like you reaching that point at 50.
The Hankook Dynapro AT2 is a great choice if you want a more aggressive tire that isn't an XL or E rated, heavier tire.
They can be had for under $200ea and hardly affect ride quality.
I can't help but wonder that at some point our beloved full-size gas V8 pickups will be nearly impossible to unload/sell due to gas prices being sky high.
Guessing that could be a reality in less than 10 years.
Mine does this sitting still in the garage too.
Also, when I first start it in the morning and put it in reverse it chirps the instant I let off the brake.
Hankook AT2.
The combo of bringing the front up a little bit and adding these larger more aggressive tires makes the truck look more like a truck, while only affecting the ride slightly. MPG hasn't changed in any noticeable way either.
And because it's not a safety issue, FCA is not going to spend $1 on fixing it and getting out an update.
The Alpine system is the best system in this current model lineup.
I went to 33" tires that are 7lbs heavier than the stock 20" bridgestones and have seen zero MPG change.
The larger tire's effect on RPM's seems to negate the heavier unsprung weight for a net zero change.
Yep. My front end varies almost a full inch in 'normal' suspension mode when it's in the same spot in my garage. The air suspension is kind of 'alive' and always making adjustments. When I notice it's on the 'low side' of the 1" variation it almost always raises itself right after I start the...
What is your bass EQ setting usually at?
Have you tried listening to different kinds of music through your phone via bluetooth or usb?
If it sounds good to you then definitely do not unplug your sub.
Shoved it down from the top between the bed and rear cab wall. Stand in the truck bed to do it. I used a piece of wood to push it down.
Just make sure you don't push it down too far that it covers the vents.
Pool noodles come in two sizes. I used the larger one but had to cut off about 1/4...
Actually the difference in height from the two sizes you listed is negligible at about .2 of an inch. Your new tires are just slightly smaller in circumference. Your 3.21 rear will now be 3.23 No need to recalibrate your speedo.
Not sure what your standard tire pressure is with your OEM 18’s but...
What if you're towing an 8,500lb airstream in your 3.21 hemi across the desert southwest, Texas or Florda where you'd be spinning under 2k RPM's for hours?
I put the next size up tires on my 3.92 (275/60-R20)
So now I have a 3.79 rear.
I like the compromise and it shaved a few RPM's off the tach on the interstate.
MPG has stayed the same (recalbrated the speedo) so I'm guessing the slightly lower RPM's cancels out the slightly heavier tires.
Yep. I've been looking since last summer. I'm one of those people who despises MDS. It's flat where I live so MDS kicks on/off a lot. I notice it very much and hate the 'lugging' the engine does to try to hold MDS before it kicks back to 8 cylinders. Not worth the 1mpg improvement for me.
