Mine does this at low speeds when I go from coasting to light acceleration. When I turn off the afm, it stops. I thought it was my slip yoke, but I believe it is the afm turning the cylinders on. The transmission is dealing with the sudden increase in hp/torque. Someone on here explained...
They figured out how hot the engine had to run to be most efficient. They were made to run at that temperature. Good synthetic fluids are up to the task. Quit worrying and enjoy the Ram!
Well, you don’t buy a little car for mileage if you need a truck. I was looking at the GMC with a 6.2 L V8. And I chose the Ram in large part because it got substantially better mileage…..
Also, because I like the truck better……
People who buy them for traveling with their family or long commutes that require trucks…
People who never hot rod their truck.
Anyone who spends more miles on the highway than in the city and doesn’t off road other than driving the 2 tracks…
I pay off trucks and drive them usually 10-11...
Almost all of these little aerodynamic changes are negligible if you drive aggressively. Drive conservative on the highway and you will see some mpg impact. Also, once you change the height of your truck, I believe you will lose most or all of the aerodynamic advantages of the little dropdown...

Good question, your wages were inevitably buoyed by competing companies, union wages. Your benefits have to compete with union shop as well. When they win better benefits for their employees, you will get them too, eventually. Your companies have to be competitive or they would lose the good...
I have been towing 7500 lb on a 27’ camper on occasion. Mileage varies wildly depending on wind and terrain. Downright decent on the flat at 65 tho.
My 5th gen 1500 tows markedly better than my 2011 ram. Also better than my 2009 Chevy with the 5.3. The hemi has plenty of power and is...
Love my hemi! The sound of it starting every morning makes me feel like a young man again!
Love me some straight 6. I believe it probably will be more reliable and better for towing.
Replacing the filter won’t make the system filter any better. Dirty filters actually filter better t Han clean ones. They just restrict the flow more. When you change them and notice the difference, you are probably noticing the increase in flow. It’s actually less filtered air compared to...
