I ordered mine 12/21 and it was still in D status per last check with my dealer. Will check with them today to see if that changed. My email said delivery week of 2/7 so it doesn’t seem you are in bad shape even with the order mix up.
What’s interesting is I have two orders currently in progress. The first from a dealer I realized wasn’t being straight with me. That one today Ram chat told me was in the shipping stage with a dealer eta of 1/19-2/2. No email from Ram on that one.
The second is the one I received the email...
Not that I’m aware of. The general sales manager of the dealership was copied on it, whom I have never had contact with. Maybe something new they are doing?
Anyone get an email from [email protected] with an estimated delivery date? Just got one today.
12/21 - Ordered with VON that day
12/28 - VIN
1/14 - dealer said still in D status
1/20 - Ram cares said the parts are still being scheduled
1/21 - email from Ram saying my truck is...
I think the difference, based on my responses from ram cares, is something along the lines of:
D = we confirmed we can get the parts and are in the process of scheduling them to be in the right location at the right time
D1 = parts are either on site or scheduled to be with confidence that the...
Anyone google their VIN and have it show up at another dealer? I googled mine that is far enough along it has a window sticker and oddly enough the only result was at my local dealer (not where I ordered it).
For the trade, check carvana, vroom, or any other local online used car sites for prices. Also if you have a carsense, carmax, or the like nearby get a quote from them. You can either use that as leverage with the dealer or just trade it in to them.
I was unimpressed with Ourisman as well. They tacked on the $1995 fee, and added back in $1695 freight charge. When I asked them to take it off I got crickets. That was after their internet sales manager immediately redirected me to a salesman, and three other people from the dealership...
He's adding freight to the "sale price" because that's what the dealer is doing. So really his sale price = $41,040 ($38,845 + $1,695 + $500). Still 21.2% off, so a good deal.
This is true and definitely factors in, unless you are trading in and/or signing up for a lease in a state that collects taxes with each lease payment.
Check out what Carvana, Vroom, CarSense, CarMax, etc. will offer. I’ve traded in two cars to Carvana and got as much or more than any dealer was offering for a trade. It was a relatively quick and easy process and they gave exactly what they estimated online.
I was told "the vehicle build process estimate is 7-9 weeks give or take" by Ram Chat. That was two days ago for my order placed on 12/21. So that's probably the generic answer they are told to give people.
I'm in PA and I just ordered a Laramie with the Southwest package from @AaronGinsburgh at Mark Dodge in Louisiana. Between the savings of the Southwest package and the price Aaron gave me I'll be getting a Laramie Southwest shipped up here and still save a little bit of money vs. ordering a...
Lo and behold after I mention it’s been 11 days and ask if my order has actually been placed I get a POC with VIN and VON and order date of 12/3. Why was that so hard? Smh
