Thanks for your detailed reply.
I brought home a Laramie Night yesterday for a test ride as my garage is really tight. I had to remove the inside T handle on the lock to get the truck in without ruining the Satellite antenna. The '16 antenna is mounted to the left so it never hit handle. Once...
What exactly can you do on this screen? I know it is part of the level 2 package.
I would rather have the glove box than the screen as it is something that will hardly be used.
The black badges would make a difference. I would also have the RWL tires turned around. With the black and silver wheels, it is too much. I don't know why they insist on using them.
I'm ok with the Laramie 20' wheels. They are black pockets with machine edges.
My concern is tread ware. It appears the tread on the 22's is not as deep as the 20's on the same tire. I realize the 22's will make less revolutions per mile. Is it enough to offset less tread.
This is what I really want to do, except I want get the Mopar black side steps. They are 600 doing a factory order on a Night. Aftermarket they are twice as much.. The wheels are my favorite over the black. Black pockets with machine edges.
How long did it take to do the all of the letters and...
Seeing the incentives available plus my affiliate discount, I am thinking of trading my '16 Ram on a new Laramie.
I have 2 questions.
If I go with the Night Edition, they force you into 22" tires. Those of you who have the 22's, what is the tread life compared to the 20's. Using the Michelin...
I doubt the mpg from this engine will be much different overall than the Hemi. In local driving my '14 Ram 3.6 wasn't much better, if at all than the Hemi I have now. The Hemi is actually better in most highway siuations. These are heavy trucks. They won't get small CUV mileage.
The cold...
Forcing the Rambox on everyone who buys a Limited or Tungsten is just plain stupid. The air suspension and power side steps are also a big no for me.
The Ram boxes cut down on bed space especially when carrying bigger items. Also, there are very few bed covers available for trucks with them...
The 6.4 box will not fit in my garage. The 5.7 is the limit and that only leaves me an inch or 2 to shut the garage door. This is another reason the boxes should not be standard.
I prefer the fixed side steps for protection when parking, another thing to prevent rocks and debris from being thrown against the truck, and the added complexity of the power steps, another thing to go wrong. I can't imagine how they would work in a heavy snowfall.
Ram should not be shoving the Ram Boxes on everyone who buys a Limited or Tungsten. I prefer the normal bed style. If you want a Ram Box , then order it. They must have got a demand from the supplier to take more of them in order to get a reduced price or some other absurd reason.
3 things would...
Put the problem window all the way down. Then raise it and when it is fully closed keep holding the switch in the same position for about 10 seconds. It should reset and work normally.
The Ram head on the back was way better looking than the billboard letters. The truck says Ram on all 4 sides now. What a mess. My '16 has it on the doors only.
