Just a quick follow up. I had the Alpine R2-s69c (dash and front doors) and the Alpine R2-S69 (rear doors) installed in my truck today. They are playing off the stock Alpine amp in my truck. They sound absolutely incredible!! I cant believe how impressive the soundstage is. 20 is the loudest...
Thats what I need to hear. I am planning on doing this in 2 stages. New dash and 4 doors, and an Optim8 amp/DSP.
Ill then move on to subwoofer if needed.
I went into a place "Car Toys" and told the guy I just wanted new speakers. He went off saying I needed everything under the sun. He...
Hey all,
I am putting either Alpine S2-s69c, or Alpine R2-s69c in my front doors. The R2 sounds much better, they are worth the extra $170
My question is about their ratings are 85 watts RMS for the S2, and 100 watts RMS for the R2.
I am using an Alpine Optim8 that provides 50X6 and 300X2...
Man!! Ive been researching new speakers and equipment. I really want a DSP. I just found the Kicker Key 200.4. I thought adding the amp to the fronts and doors would be amazing. Now it sounds like its not possible without disabling the ANC
Thanks man! I just have visions of something drive train related happening, and getting screwed on my warranty.
I know Im being neurotic. Something about the dealership finding any excuse not to honor a warranty.
Basically, you confirmed that a "quality" level is a pretty neutral change to our...
I may be missing something, but why are you getting the rear spacers? The bilsteins you are ordering (excellent choice) can adjust up to 1" on the rear shocks. That would be good for the 1" in the rear.
Hey all,
Newbie question here. I want to do either Bilsteins set to 2.6front/1.0rear, or Belltech 3in strut, eibach springs in rear.
Ive only seen/read one report of some guy killing his front diff with "excessive angles". However, he had a 2012, so age was probably a large factor in the diff...
Ive only heard the GT exhaust twice "in person". They are definitely sporty, turning loud during WOT
Ive always done Borla S-type, and to me, its perfect
The GT exhaust is like if the Borla S-Type, and the Borla ATAK hooked up and had an exhaust baby out of wedlock
Im in Texas also, and am a bit of a gun guy. Any sale or purchase of a firearm via private party is done at the police station.
I wouldnt do it any other way. The police are cool with it, and have twice asked to check out the gun because they were interested in the same gun.
My 2021 Laramie with 77K miles just did this the other day. I thought it was an A/C fan, but it sounded more electronic. It was definitely weird. I have the active noise cancellation also. You described what I heard to a "T"
Thanks for the quick reply. Ive only had the truck for 3 weeks. I knew it had those options, but wasn unaware they came on automatically. It was a pleasant surprise. Like I said, never had heated seats/wheel.
Thanks man. Unfortunately, attention to detail isnt my strong suit. But, Ill take it slow with these. Id hate for them to be "off kilter" even if that are clear and hard to see
So, it was pretty chilly the other morning (36) (Texas). I autostarted my truck about 10 minutes before getting my sons to school.
We climbed in and the heat was on, heated seats were on, AND heated steering wheel was on. Trust me, I was blown away and excited. Ive never had heated seats or...
