I went thru this with my hard cover, going from 2014 to 2019. Mine fit, not perfect but it works. The dimensions are real close, however the shape is different. Looking down from above, the 4th gen are slightly coke bottle shaped, whereas the 5th gen are straight. Hope that helps.
Please don't confuse me with an earlier poster. I stated I'm getting about 18% off sticker, not 25%. I negotiated with 4 dealers in Eastern PA and southern NY, all 4 had the employee discount pricing. It is advertised all over on TV ads, and on their web sites. It's a legitimate discount of...
They may have been back then. But the original post mentioned no good deals right now, The employee pricing and cash bonuses equal over 18% on this limited I'm buying..
Not sure I understand. I am in the process of buying a 2021 Limited, of which there are a decent number of on dealer lots right now. Employee pricing right now equals $8k to $10k off sticker.
I posted about 10 months ago a similar problem with my 2019 Laramie. Clunking underneath from the control arm bolts being loose. Dealer had to replace the arms due to the holes ovaled from drivng around with them loose probably since it was new. Unacceptable in my book.
Last week my 2019 Laramie did nearly the same. Blue screen for backup camera and music playing 2 or 3 seconds, then off for 2 or 3 seconds continuously. After about 15 minutes of that I parked the truck for 10 minutes, and after restarting everything was fine. Must be some type of strange mode...
I've had mine on for 14 months, and they seem to be holding up well. I think I may be seeing some slight discoloration in the chrome around the hub, but it is very hard to notice. If I have to replace them every 2 years or so I do not have a problem with that. Great value.
Noise update. Although tightening the control arm bolt eliminated almost all the noise, after a trip from Pa to Florida I could still hear the noise, although not nearly as bad. Great work by a dealer in Florida that found front holes elongated in both control arms on the passenger side and...
I have this problem with my 2019 Ram as well as my Chrysler products. Other cars, such as Honda, have 2 circuits. One turns on the headlights near dusk, and the other dims the dash displays later when the interior gets dark. Works great. If I am not mistaken, my 2010 Ram seemed to work that way.
After I found the one loose bolt on front of the lower control arm on the passenger side, I went with a torque wrench and checked all the other ones, they were tight. I did not have the spec so I went with the ASME spec for that size, 80 ft/lbs.
I bought my 2019 Laramie off the lot. It had the Level 2 equip package, and I also could not find anything else I was getting over the Level 1 package except the wireless phone charger and the rear heated seat. Difference was about $1600 over the Level 1, from what I remember.
Really my only complaint has been finding a bolt on one of the rear lower control arms loose, which was causing a loud cracking noise when pulling out or braking hard. Made the noise since day one. Makes me wonder what else may be loose.
Interesting.....Many years ago I knew a guy who bought a new 1973 Dodge Charger. It had a rattle in one of the doors. When the dealer opened up the door panel, they found an empty coke bottle (they were glass back then) laying in the door.....
I'm posting this as informational to help if someone else has the same problem, but there will be a bit of a rant at the end. My 2019 Laramie has made a loud crack noise from the rear suspension since new when first accelerating from a stop and when braking. It seems like when the direction of...
Yes, it did deactivate cylinders. One thing, forgot about the grill shutters the 2014 had. But other than that and the 8 spd trans, they were identical. i really attribute the approx 3 mpg difference to the gearing. Now, that's measured tank to tank on a 1k mile trip, so it basically is all...
My 2010 Ram had 3.92 gearing and on trips from Pa to Florida (all interstate, fuel stop to fuel stop) it would get around 18-19 mpg. I traded in on a 2014 Laramie, same 20" wheels/tires, quad cab, only difference was 3.21 gears (and of course 8 speed trans, which I do not believe matters in the...
Just had the dealer install the seal on my Laramie today. Trip home on the interstate was a bit quieter with the seat down. Haven't tried it yet with the seat up, which was noisier.
