that is simple ... first hours before i ran the trk thru a touchless car wash and the wash did no was the trk from my hip level down, roughly half way up the door and the way around the trk ... went inside the car wash and they refunded my money .... drove home, about 15 miles, and got a...
got first oil change yesterday ... had to pay for it, NO free oil changes here, asked to use the Pennzoil Full Syn ... nothing else done ... charged me $100 (blend would have been $70) ... that cost gave me a baseline... went to walmart and the same oil was $22.57 / 5 qts so about $33 (for 7...
here is another twist .. yesterday i washed my trk using one of those blue bristle brushes and when i was washing the driver or passenger door i noticed the lock post/button on the inside of the door going up and down ... every time i made a pass on the door the button would react, it was quite...
Kungfubhuda you said "19.1 mpg? Holy hell. Anytime I manage to get my mpg above 16, a couple of stoplights bring that number crashing down." ... and that is where the start/stop eTorque helps out .. i can drive across town stopping at many lights and the average remains constant
riccnick .. you said .."However, if you're suggesting that you can use the wdh setup to remove tongue weight from the truck when you get to the scales, then that's a different story. "
NO ..NO .. i am NOT saying you will remove any tongue weight from the truck, you only redistribute the tongue...
rickj ... you said ...."Most likely we will end up with a Coachmen 231BBDS with a GVWR of 7500 lbs (UVW 5072 lbs) and hitch weight of 585 lbs. The other trailer's numbers are similar. Both well within the limits of the Laramie. " Coachmen makes good TT, just watch out the hitch weight of 585 #s...
whatever you do be sure and look at the sticker inside the drivers door for the "payload" there is a link in the 5th Gen .. towing ... section that talks about the varying payloads ... some are as low as 1,000 #s and others go to around 1,700 #s ... this is the most important number you will...
i have been towing trailers of one sort or another since i was 14 yrs old ... just in the last 10 yrs i have towed 3 TT that required WD hitches home from the dealers, about 2 hrs home, and that is the only time i have towed an empty TT .. i do NOT set up the WD hitch on that one time tow weight...
i just check the Reese hitch site and they do NOT recommend reducing hitch weight below 10% because they say below 10% is when you start to get the hitch TOO light and that is a major cause of trailer sway
riccnick .. now you have me confused ... why do you ever use the empty (unloaded) trailer weight???? you will only ever tow that trailer empty one time and that is from the dealer at purchase ... the GVWR on the TT is 7600 #s, that is the number you need to use to get the 10% (between 10 and...
here is just one quote from Ken on the Keystone RV forum
"I cross trained with RMCP at 1 point.
How about this, they set up vehicle inspection points on public roads because they can unlike in the US. For the purpose of inspecting vehicles. A guy talked about how many got mad when the vehicles...
if you reread my post, you will see i said "so i for one am going to be sure that i do not exceed the payload and GCVW for my truck " .. i guess there is something you need to explain to me ... If i am NOT exceeding my payload how can i be overweight on GVWR and then it would follow, IF i am...
i went to the pages you guys listed here and i am active in the Keystone RV Forum, where lots of threads are about towing with WD hitches and 1/2 vs 3/4 ton pickups ... many TT owners say "I'm not towing that far", "I'm not towing very often", "It really pulls good and has lots of power" ... BUT...
your signature does NOT say if you have 12", 8.4 Nav or 8.4 non nav ... IF you have 8.4 non nav with your level 1 don't think you will get health report ... and don't depend on the FCA rep knowing anything about your trk
my trk is level 1 and i have the 8.4 non Nav ... so, my trk does not email reports to me, less junk mail, BUT my wife;s trk is level 2 and has the 8.4 Nav ... so, wife's trk emails me reports and i can view them in the Mopar.com app and the Uconnect app ... i think it is the "level" that makes...
just went and looked at my window sticker and it says the trk was built on august 11 and door sticker says the same trk was built on august 10 .... seems like that is ONE thing RAM could have gotten right
when i look at our build dates on the door stickers they say 8 - 18 on both trks ... so i took this to mean august 2018 ... BUT today reading another thread the guys says his build date is 5 - 21 and i am thinking jeez you mean his trk was built is 2021??? perty cool trick ... so now i am...
