just got back from a 400 mile trip thru the mts of nothern Pa and only got 11 mpg hc .... oh btw, i was pulling a 7,000 # TT and the GCVW was 14,500 # CAT scaled ... this is a 2018 Passport 2520 RL ... it is 8' wide

@Johnvan .. looks to me from the CAT scale slip that trk is 400#s overweight on the drive axel ... that in itself is enough to stop me from using that trk to tow that trailer ... those that say it is ok are the very ones who will later complain about equipment failure ... this is NOT an...
in another forum i posted about this same problem .. when my WD hitch is set to make the TT level the hitch clip almost hits the tailgate at the backup camera ... the concensus was i did not know how to set the WD correctly
i also do not visit the FB stuff .... i call it "antisocal" media because in the days i look thru FB it seemed like a forum for complainers to attack something/some one
this is also how mine works, so when the WD hitch is in place (like now) i will get the alarm but no brake ... BUT the 7 pin connector does NOT turn off the auto brake sensor, i have to use the switch
that makes no sense to me at all .. the overall length is about the same and the weight difference is minimual ... i think there are just more crew cabs in their sampling
what about the 200 - 300 lb weight of the cap ... i have a cap ... the rear window and tail gate is always dirty because of...
yep .... i am saying i run E 15 88 octane every time i can find it and around here it is easy to find AND i am saying i have a 392 rear and eTorque, that all the enlighten ones that don't have it say does not yield mpg ..... 19Reb probably is NOT going to call me to testify for his EPA Ram law...
sorry this does not match your view of things but there are the facts ..... i have 2 utility trls, one is a 1500# gross aluminum trl and the other is a 7000# gross utility trl and of course a 7700# TT (have not pulled it yet but expect 10 mpg when pull it) ... maybe IF i showed you the licence...
IF you click on my /or wife's Fuelly average it will take you to our data ... then you can see the mileages for each fill up and see it is now 18.6 for my trk ... also, i normally run 5 over posted speed limits ... the short trips averaged about 100 miles in that fuel fill up .. and i live in...
the Prodigy brake controller that i used in my older trks had a setting for "normal" and a "boost 1" and a "boost 2" setting .... in theory it worked something like this .... it would sense how quickly and how hard you applied the brakes and adjust ( higher or lower) and and it would also sense...
one thing i have noticed in this thread ... none of you have details of your trucks listed in your signatures, so it is kinda like comparing apples to oranges .... and i do not find the same results with the CC, IF the cruse control is OFF you still want to maintain your speed so you must push...
your experience with trailers is a BIG factor in "how much you can safely tow" .. first you can use a standard 2" receiver hitch, make sure the ball is the highest weight capacity for a 2" ball, i think 9,000 #s, i have both a 1,500 # aluminum utility trailer (for smaller tasks) and a dual axel...
am shopping for a 5th whl the last few days and 2 different RV dealers here in Pa warned me about going over the payload and GCVW rating for my trk ... these dealers were miles apart and each said the state cops have taken up the issue of overloaded pickup trks pulling trailers and travel...
may be "logical that E15 will get worse mileage than E10 " BUT does not work that way for me ... i have never used E 85 but do use E 15 as often as possible for the last 3 - 4 yrs
IF i remember right, you just set the seats, brake pedal and mirrors to where you want them ... then press the center memory button and then either the # 1 or # 2 button to set it ... this has worked for both our trks ....
i ran E 15 in our Tundra 5.7s for most of 3 yrs with NO problems ... fuel mpg always HC slightly higher and cost per gal was 5 cents cheaper ... now my wife and i each have 2019 Rams and continue to run E 15 ... look at our Fuelly results .. i see many on these forums that insist on 89 gas and...
