    Official Maximum Steel Thread

Finally added the pinstripes I wanted (unfortunately the pin striping doesn't show up well on this page - much better in person). I also added black lettering to the "LIMITED" in the chrome strip.

UConnect does not update Weather Map

Is that a feature of UC5 only? I wasn't aware I could connect my truck's UC4 to my mobile phone hotspot or my house's wifi.

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

Although I agree regarding using Google Maps, Waze, ... there is still a reason to have an onboard GPS. If you're spending any time out of cell range you will be glad you have the onboard GPS if needed. With a 4x4 I'd think the likelihood of that is higher than most other vehicles. Now a...

UConnect does not update Weather Map

I have never needed to reset mine but I have seen this on other forums for how to reset the 12" UC4 and people responding that it worked. Reset instructions for 12" UC4 Hold down the middle power and middle tuner knob buttons for 10 seconds and let off at the same time. The system will restart...

UConnect does not update Weather Map

I couldn't agree more. I wanted the maps for some new roads in my area but it's definitely wrong to force you to buy maps to get updates that fix an otherwise broken system. I feel like they should extend my 5 year free plan another year since I couldn't use it for a year. I'd recommend...

UConnect does not update Weather Map

The total cost with shipping and taxes was $160.60. The shipping was supposed to be free, but it wouldn't discount it. The shipping was $3.95 so I just went ahead with the purchase. I have taken two rides since the update and the weather worked properly both times, but I can't say long term if...

UConnect does not update Weather Map

So I was also having the issue everyone else was having. If I waited for 1-2 minutes, it might flash up the weather on the blank map, then it would go away after 30 seconds and never reappears. I just purchased the map update (I received an email) for my 2020 Limited with the 12" screen and I...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

That will be a great test to determine what many of us believe ... that the two straps are enough. However, I am more concerned of what would happen in an accident like a T-Bone. But I think the skid plate and the extra frame cross member will provide more protection than the third strap could...

I have not added a stripe yet. Yours looks nice and looks like it was applied well.

Optional. Only if you want a plate to protect the underside of the tank. I had the skid plate on my 26 gallon tank and wanted it for my 33 gallon tank so I ordered one.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Actually, I recently discovered there is a crossmember that can be used and would give you what you are looking for. It is #22 in the diagram below. You can bolt this up without the longer skid plate and accomplish what you want but it is the crossmember for the longer skid plate to give it...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

The reason your part was a different number is because you have the Quad Cab. By going to the site you provided it lists the correct parts for the Quad cab and which one is for the 33 gallon tank.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

It may be a matter of how early of a 2020 you have. The key is likely the vapor tube you take off. You can see the one I took off and the 57008595AA part are shaped the same on the right side of the picture - a rounded bend and an additional 5 inches to the connector. You can see in the...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

I have previously installed the 33 gallon tank and used part number 68307831AB for the vapor tube (34 1/2" long). I have a 2020 5.7L 4x4 Crew Cab and that vapor tube was a bit tight but did fit. It was definitely too long and added a little stress to the vapor tube. I recently discovered...

You should be able to upgrade it yourself once you get the truck with the parts and directions identified in this thread.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

In order to add it you must also add either the Level 1 Equipment Group or Level 2 Equipment Group. If you have one of those then you add Sales Code NFF to get the 33 gallon tank. Here are two Build URLs that reflect without the 33 gallon and with the 33 gallon tank. The only difference is...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Funny, I just found that crossmember today as well and was thinking of ordering it. For the dealer to update the system they should only need to add the sales code and then update the system which should be pretty basic. I believe that code is NFF but there is a possibility it is NLL. When...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Where did you order your parts through? I used store.mopar.com and had everything delivered to the dealer for free shipping. You beat me by a small amount on each item so I'm curious if you paid it in shipping or if you had a better parts source.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

I see your PDF is from 2008. I have a feeling NFF might be the correct code. When you use the web site to build a truck it auto populates the sales codes into the URL. In doing so it adds NFF and not NLL. And if you try to add NLL it ignores it. I looked up a bunch of other codes and quite...
