I have owned awd systems from just about every major manufacturer. They are not even close to being the same. Most suck. The best I have ever used was on older Subaru’s and grand cherokees with viscous couplers. it is almost instant and provided a very natural feel of grip if that makes sense...
This made me think beyond the drive in. My first planned trip with the truck is going to be camping in a Dark Sky park. I guess turning a light switch off doesn’t mean what it used to.
I went through the same thing and ordered a sport appearance Laramie and will black out the chrome emblems myself. These are the differences I found:
Projector Headlights and grill. I like limited more but to each his own.
Upgraded interior materials including seats.
Rear cooled seats...
I have never had a problem with a factory moonroof on any vehicle I have ever owned across at least 6 brands. This will be my first panoramic though. My Challenger got stuck open a few times but there is a reset procedure in the manual for recalibrating and that fixed it.
You don’t have power folding mirrors cause you have the tow group with tow mirrors. Can’t explain why those two other features don’t work. You have them and you turned them on. Stupid question. Any chance the settings didn’t “stick” in uconnect?
You should probably compare prices to hotspot on your phone. All late model smart phones support it if the carrier does. Mine is included with my account. Others have an up charge. Maybe the vehicle will get better reception but they need to price this stuff to be competitive with phone hotspot.
Also like to see this thread. Have one on order and this forum tells some scary stories. I wish people would post build dates. I am hopeful a lot of the problems were early production. Ram had well publicized quality issues that caused a lot of delays and production stops and starts.
I do this all the time. As long as your preferred dealer has something the bad one wants. I used to think it was model for model (like limited for limited) but found out that is not true. I suppose they may not if they have bad blood between them but I have never had a problem with a dealer...
There is no concept of screen mirroring on Apple. They are very controlling in what CarPlay can do. As a poster mentioned IOS 12 will finally allow you to choose your mapping application as long as the vendor of the app provides a CarPlay option. People assume google will for Google maps and...
Of all the problems I have read about in these forums this one worries me the most. Truck on order and it won’t be done until temps cool down. Btw I noticed on the recalls forum that there’s an open tsb on all fca vehicles. Apparently hey have a habit of leaving leak check fluid in the system...
Isn’t this kind of what etorque is supposed to do in a different way. In theory starting an electric motor is a bit faster than combustion. Of the posters on this thread who had an issue with response I did not see anyone had etorque in their signature.
Thanks. I should have checked the diablo site instead of a vendor. It’s called the Pulsar. Do you have one? Lots of questions about the steering wheel interface. Does it remove factory gear selection is the main one.
I thought all FCA vehicles with the canbus system needed an aftermarket physically hacked ecu to be able to tune? For example they started using these in 2014 on the challengers so I assumed a brand new Ram would be like this. Have you seen information suggesting the tuner manufacturers have...
Thanks. Finally figured it out by comparing different options on the web. They have some odd copy paste stuff going on where they are listing the actual mirror which is manual gold. Then another line adds on power gold. Took me a bit. Any chance they are single quick press to auto fold? Like...
On loose surfaces with non lsd maybe they both spin? Not on dry pavement. Not sure but a lsd locker would be nice. I would have bought that. My wife has a lifted Rubicon so the Ram is staying on the road and away from the scratchy paint bits on the trail. Dirt roads and curbs will be the only...
