The adjustable tie downs are different rails that I still have in my trucks. They come with the BUG. They are unobtrusive and I haven’t used em yet. The divider for these aftermarket rails might be used if one also had the lateral “fence” as in the pic in the link that someone posted here in...
Yeas, and for those of us who buy used, it can get even more confusing when you’re trying to figure out what mods the prior owner may have made. Those rails, for example. I bought mine CPO from a Ram dealer and didn’t know it had been leveled, and had very different tires than original type/size.
Yup. Those are the rails. They were mounted in my non-RamBox bed. I purchased my truck used so prior owner must have put ‘em in aftermarket. Going in the recycling bin Wednesday unless anyone claims em.
I would agree that it is far more likely up where you are in North Idaho (which is an awesome part of the country) that the average knucklehead would see the difference. However, here in Northern California they can't distinguish a Prius from a Tesla, so your average California knucklehead...
Having just gone through exploring every possible nuance of every possible tire/wheel scenario, the trade offs for me (cuz that’s all they are) led to the new cooper road and trails. Replaced yokahama 12.5x35 with 285/45/22s. The ride, grip, quiet, supple ride is a huge game changer from the...
So here in California, locking the bed is essential. I have a trifold that I love and migrated over from my ‘19 Laramie to the 21 Limited I now have. If u done have to have the trifold open all the way often, then the occasional obstruction may not be an issue. But if u have the advanced...
Congrats. You will live it. Enjoy this forum and all the tips on cool stuff you can do with your truck as well as quick answers on annoyances and more major issues. Pics please.
Had a 19 Laramie that I finally sold to my sister. Zero issues! Replaced tires, changed the oils and all other required maintenance. Replaced with 21 limited that currently has about 40k miles. Way more electronics, leather, moonroof, air ride, etorque etc so I do anticipate I will have...
Congrats! Nice ride. Which wheels are those? They almost look chrome in that lighting. I like them. Don’t spend too much time in this forum or you may become obsessed with minutiae about all sorts of obscure mods and issues. Good luck, it’s a lot of fun!
Ah. Yes, I see. Thank you. Not sure why I’d need the divider and I don’t have the separator gate either. Anyone in Northern California want these rails?
I thought of that but they were mounted too low and it already had that crappy vinyl tri-fold on it from the factory (which I removed to put my old hard tri-fold on. See threads on Right-on brackets for the saga of mounting hard tonneaus on MFT tailgates). They were just above the existing...
I had a '19 Laramie for 92,000 trouble free miles. Tires and oil and some other maintenance basics. The new-to-me '21 Limited on the other hand, has every electronic option available and I fully expect that those will be a pain in the *** at some point (36K miles so far). The trade-off is a...
Bought this 21 Limited and these rails were along the inside of the bed above the factory bed rails. Removed 'em and still curious what they are and if anybody wants/needs them for any reason.
Got dressed up for a rally of 200 cars crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Assembled near Chase Stadium (Warriors) and caravanned around the perimeter of SF. It was a rally for hostages being held in Gaza.
Thanks for your very helpful and thoughtful reply! I agree with your conclusion,
Thanks. I have a shop that will help me go through the entire suspension to assess what may be giving problems. Its taken a while to find a shop here in Northern California that really is knowledgeable about all...
So I replaced my ‘19 Laramie with a 21 Limited. The new ride is much harsher, less secure, worse mileage, vibrate, etc. Yokohama geolander AT X 12.5 x 35 x 22. I bought the truck with these tires and the level links already on it, though I wasn’t aware of it at the time of purchase from the...
The other issue for me, being here in California, is that we can't leave anything exposed in the truck as it will invite the liberation of said items from said vehicle.
