'21 air suspension feels like all the height settings have shifted downward. Toggling down to the lowest setting puts it in "Tire Jack Mode" and all the various ride settings feel like they are one below what it says. The thread below chronicles the ongoing saga.
Here's today's update to...
I have the MFT and absolutely love it and will never have another truck without it. Its like a fifth door and makes the day to day usability of the bed (for me) much easier. I do not use it for heavy loads, however, and I primarily use it as a daily driver. The doors feel somewhat flimsy, but...
After 10 days at the first shop, they said they couldn't finish the job and it had to go to Ram. They pressurized the system tank and let it sit through the weekend. The various heights were in line with specs, they said. HOWEVER: The truck rides horribly! It basically feels as though all...
I'm very curious about what caused the leak. Speaking with guy actually doing the work requires pushing through the front desk robots that aren't allowing those interactions. I'm hoping to get the discarded airbag and see if it has been punctured or just normal wear and tear, or whatever. I...
For anyone who may be following along, the shop required an initial $250 for a diagnostic, another $250 to run a smoke test diagnostic including as suggested by kapinallinen2 and then found a leak in the RR bag. Current estimate is $2500 for that corner and they're not yet sure it solved the...
Yup. Went up the highway 15 miles to the next dealer who gave me an appointment in late March to have it "inspected." I've got an appointment tomorrow morning with an independent place that does tires etc., so we'll see if that sheds any light.
10 days ago I got a message that said to service the air suspension immediately. Truck staying in aero mode now and compressor runs frequently. Ram dealer was useless and rude but I need to have it checked out and serviced. Apparently my CPO is drivetrain only. Independent shops (with one...
Will trucks fitted with adaptive headlights automatically adjust headlights vertically when the truck is lowering or raising? And if the headlights were the issue for the alternating lowering, wouldn’t it therefore make more sense to just raise or lower the four corners simultaneously?
Speaking of parking settings, I’d also like to be able to set the temp when I remote start my truck. The heater and heated seats and steering wheel only come on when it’s below about 40 degrees out. Here in California that’s rare but I’d still like a warm car to get into first thing in the...
I’ve had both a ‘19 Laramie and. 21 limited. When I first got the Laramie I felt like the luxuries were over the top for a truck. But now, 4 years later, I love my limited which has the level 1. (Which I sought deliberately because I wanted everything on it if I was going to switch to...
Yeah. I think I almost bought that set on TireRack..... I was going to get those but my tire guy couldn't get 'em since they were on closeout everywhere, so I went with the newer version which are the Road and Trails. No regrets, other than they just don't look as good for the Zombie Apocolypse
Are the "curb illumination lights" supposed to come on when in Reverse when using the 360 surround View? Mine don't, but clearly they should as there are darker regions on the sides when I'm in reverse at night. Those lights come on (they're mounted on the underside of the side mirror...
Thanks for all of the input! Sounds like a must-have if you're towing a lot. I still have the BMW when I want to have some serious fun, get onto the track, etc. I will pay attention now to the characteristics you all describe, though, because a better-planted, more secure-handling vehicle is...
So your truck is the twin to my last truck. Best vehicle ever. Don’t the sway bars require all sorts of other mods and also deteriorate the ride? Where the trade offs?
Yup. Twins! While not up to my prior 4 cars which were all BMW’s, these trucks can do amazingly well in handling, with the right tires. I took a friend on a drive on CA 84 winding from Silicon Valley the pacific. I pushed as hard as I could through the twisties and I came away very surprise...
You described perfectly what I was experiencing! Lots of suspension suspicion but was primarily tires. I also found the noise of those larger tires to be too much. The handling was poor, couldn’t accelerate from a damp stop sign without spinning, gas mileage dropped, speedometer was off, etc...
I was going to ask what the replaced tires were for just this thought. I moved out of stiffer tires to better ones and it’s a night and day difference in ride. Long story.
