    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

You should’ve put this information in your original post. Too many people have opinions and do not provide fact. Do I trust Joe blow on a forum or the manufacturers website ..... And if this is the case they really need to amend their website to reflect such information for the consumer

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

How can you say that’s actually not true when it is exactly what they have posted on their own website…. Number one he does not have the off-road package and he wants icon springs which is 1.5 inches. Number two There’s no such thing as “should be OK.” It’s not within spec with the icon...

    305/55/20 Ridge Grapplers XL

XL or SL Does not matter. Either one works fine with the trucks gross vehicle weight rating. The point is that they are P305/55/20 and substantially less physical weight than the LT tires. https://www.nittotire.com/light-truck-tires/ridge-grappler-light-truck-tire/ Your truck look

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

5100 front 2.6” max setting 5160 rear with Icon springs 1.5” (with 5’7” bed) You can not use 5100’s in the rear with the Icon springs. Rear 5100’s do not support 1.5” lift (5100 0-1” 5160 0-1.5”)

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Trust me on the icon rear springs. They will ride better and give 1.5” lift. Less squat when towing. It’s the secret sauce! 5160’s should be used with them.

Conflicting Oil Standards in Owners Manual

you’re not gonna find the proper oil at Walmart. Should be able to order it through NAPA auto parts and I believe Amazon. And of course the most obvious answer is you can buy it at the dealer. This thread is basically dead. Everything has been hashed out at this point. Start from the...

    Mud

To be fair not many manufacturers put on decent tires. The Falken AT3wa that comes with the off-road package are a huge Upgrade over the Goodyear SRA that used to come stock. The Goodyear Duratracs that come on the power wagon that you refer to is a decent tire but still an all-terrain. That is...

    Help in determining wheels?

I’m looking to run the same size… Pretty sure I’m going to do the Goodyear ultra terrain 285/65/20. It’s very light weight comparatively (59 pounds) and looks good in person. Not gonna wheel this truck like I did my last one so anything I do is more for aesthetics.

What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

Let me clarify something… North Edition and off-road package trucks do NOT come with Falken AT3w tires. They come with At3wa which is sold in Europe. The tread pattern is very different. I’ve owned both (at3w LT 285/70/17 P275/60/20 —- at3wa P275/55/20). I used to sell tires as a service advisor...

    Ecodiesel Issues? Look out for?

I’m not gonna pretend that I know it all… But I do know this, oil change Intervals and preventative maintenance have been tailored more for marketing than longevity over the last 20 years (all manufacturers) You won’t find me running 10,000 miles services. Changing the oil more frequently will...

Installed bilstein 5100 with rough country forged uca

On a sidenote what size tires are you running and what offset of your wheels. Are the factory wheels?

Installed bilstein 5100 with rough country forged uca

Look at that angle! LOL! You’re right those look pretty good… Hopefully they’re stepping up their game. It looks that way with this product.

    Ecodiesel Issues? Look out for?

On a sidenote… I do recommend for added protection performance and longevity adding a fuel additive at every fuel up of possible. The ultra low sulfur fuel sold in the United States does not have very good lubricity. Using an additive during fill ups will increase lubricity for the fuel pump...

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

First off the 3.5 ready lift kit is for looks and it is advised not to be off road because of CV angles . So if you plan on doing anything more than a dirt road this is not the kit for you. With the current truck set up you have the 5100s will lift the front of your truck 2.6 inches at maximum...

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Before I respond ElJoe let me ask do you have the off-road package or a rebel? What length of bed do you have?

Are stock tires on 20" black edition crap?

Falken at3w dose very well in the rain and even better in the snow.

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

It’s possible you got the ones for the fourth GEN ram… 2019 2020 classic. Those have five positions only. A true fifth GEN ram 5100 has seven positions. Rebel and off-road package are not to be set higher then position five because their spring is longer then the non Offroad package

    Help in determining wheels?

Yes. It will push the wheel 4 millimeters out towards the fender which is not even a quarter of an inch. It will be fine. You could run a +1 offset and still be fine. Now the bigger question is what size tires are you planning to run

Off Road Springs On Standard Suspension

If you have to disassemble the strut assembly either way I would skip the ORP springs and go with the 5100s..... or both. The Factory shocks are not that great. I have the ORP on my Bighorn Night Edition and I will be replacing them
