    AFTERMARKET UCA

The front suspension was revised. That is the reason why zone does not recommend using the old-style control arms. Suspension droop is the biggest problem. Most people don’t take these trucks off-road getting a wheel or wheels off the ground putting the additional stress maxing out cv angle and...

    AFTERMARKET UCA

Yes you’ll be at 3.5 inches and yes your CV angles will be really bad. That much lift is not recommended for off-road use. The upper control arms from the fourth gen ram will fit but they are not the same geometry. Why not upgrade to the BDS tubular control arms for the 2020. Priced very...

    Air Break Sound

Yeah I call BS… I think the dealer rep was mistaken. The dampeners may have nitrogen in them but the air system runs on the same stuff you and I breathe in and out of our lungs

Rebel Owners: Fuel Economy After Swapping Tires?

A big contributor to your high mpg with 35s is the lightweight nature of the ultra terrain. 35x12.5r20 weighs 60 pounds which is unheard of for a tire of that size

What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

The new Toyo AT3 looks to be great. I would definitely give the a shot. I think they took a page from Falken when making these. I love how light they are. I have not yet driven them... I might buy them. Still debating on how I want the truck setup. My short list: Milestar Patagonia MT...

What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

It’s definitely a tread pattern difference. I cannot speak to the compound of the rubber but it’s possible it’s the same just in a less aggressive design (at3w VS at3wa) And you’re right, they are very heavy. That is the only reason why I hesitate to purchase them again. They are phenomenal...

What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

The Geolander G015 has two different tread patterns. P rated tires look different than the LT tires. It’s a smooth quiet tire. They have long life and are great in the snow. Dose fine on a forest service road but not much more then that. Holds onto rocks in the tread and will not clear out mud...

New to diesel - few questions

I get Loves points from fueling my work truck so I use those and get the DEF for free

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Those ultra terrains (and wheels) look awesome!

What's the smoothest & quietest 33" or 34" tire I can get on my stock 20's

Yeah I agree.... i’m going to run them through the winter and change them out next spring (AT3wa). Should have around 20k on it by then. I drive a long way for work. I was going to do a 2” lift but now I’m leaning for a 4 inch lift but since I have an eco-diesel BDS says that’s not an option at...

New to diesel - few questions

Personally I buy the Love’s truck stop DEF. It’s API approved and $16 for 2.5 gal. jug in the store.

    Cetane booster for anyone?

I also use hot shot EDT. And I chuckle because I also use a 1 gallon freezer bag to hold the bottles in the rear door pocket. At Walmart you can get the small Lucas fuel treatment bottles for four dollars. They have a long neck it worked perfectly for pouring in without making a mess. I...

    MPG at 80 MPH

I commute 360 miles total to work and back once a week. The vast majority on interstate 84 across Idaho is 80 mph. (2000 foot elevation swing) If I maintain that speed I usually see between 23 and 24 MPG. 26 at 72 mph and 28 to 29 at 68 mph - 2020 1500 ORP 3.92

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Makes perfect sense. See if there is a ram dealer in your area that pre-loads trucks with the Mopar 2 inch lift kit. If they’ve got one on the showroom take it for a spin. That kit would be great. The Bilstein 5100 5160 option With icon springs and 0RP rear sway bar links would also work great.

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Like I said before happy to help! Fabtech isn’t bad. The auto group I used to work for has a GMC Franchise and they do A lots of fabtech lifts there. The dirt logic shocks are their in-house brand. I don’t have any experience with them personally.

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Happy to help! There’s a lot of options out there. What is your main use for the truck and will you be doing any off-road?

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Good question. The travel is the same. The off-road spring is longer therefore it must be perched lower on the shock body which is why it cannot be set in the sixth or seventh position. The shock is designed to operate and travel a certain distance and as long as you are operating that shock...

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

You can run that tire size with the shocks and springs or the Mopar 2 inch lift kit. It is a little stuffed but doable. You definitely will not want to stack spacers on top. It would be pretty bad for the CV and Ball joint angle. Even the rough country 3.5 inch SST kit says not for off-road...

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

Yes you could although it would be redundant. Non ORP springs can be set to the seventh setting on the shock body. ORP springs are instructed not to be set higher than the fifth setting. Therefore the same level of height raised is achieved.

    BIGHORN gets Bilstein 5100’s

They do not make different springs for the front to be paired with 5100s. They do make a coil over but that consists of an icon dampener in which case you would want to also use the icon shocks in the rear.
