2" Level and rear spring choices?

@lestuff I had a 15 with the 5100s and the icon rear springs. The icon rear springs dramatically reduced the bed squat. Even with 30 rolls of sod in the bed she stayed up in the air. The truck was very comfortable… On your new truck you can Install the icon rear springs, they make them for the...

    DEF consumption, normal?

I’ve added 7.5 gallons in 6,8xx miles....could add another gallon easily. I’m mostly doing interstate driving. It doses seem to drink it up.

    First diesel

If you’re going to be on the highway a lot with it that would be the best way to go, those engines do not enjoy city miles. Modern diesels are horrible in the city. They will plug up with carbon and have all kinds of Emissions related issues. Test drive it and then test a hemi. Also bare in...

    Michelin vs goodyear

I was a service advisor for Ram and sold a lot of tires during those sales and took advantage of it myself. Sure you pay retail but some of these tires are $200 $300 almost $400 each... That’s better than a $50 $80 or $100 rebate. Various tire shops may reduce the retail cost of the tire but...

Toyo Open Country AT III on 20' Limited with 22"

The last generation rebel had E rated tires and they were 45 front 50 rear cold on the door. I was running about 38 psi and was starting to get uneven wear so I bumped it up to 45 front 50 rear and that took care of the problem.

    Michelin vs goodyear

If you can wait till October. Mopar has a tire program every fall and spring. Buy three tires get one for $1. Costco usually has the better deal on Michelin except when the sale is going. So check with your dealer in October. Craigslist and Facebook marketplace will sell used tires like hotcakes

Toyo Open Country AT III on 20' Limited with 22"

Great looking truck also! Your tires are not the same however. Toyo just came out in the last few months with the all new Open Country AT3. You’ve got the AT2. Just a friendly FYI According to Toyo’s website, yes the tires he has are 10 ply and the tires you have are also 10 ply. You have more...

Toyo Open Country AT III on 20' Limited with 22"

Looks great! I’d really like to take a set of these tires for a spin. I think they’re going to be very popular. Definitely better than the AT2 it replaced.

    Michelin vs goodyear

As a sidenote eagle is the designation Goodyear uses for their passenger tire brand and wrangler is what they use for the truck all terrain tire brand. There are various versions of eagles and wranglers. If you’re looking for a quality highway tire the Michelin LTX is the clear winner. Sold...

    Before you drive away.....

I agree but in this case I would give them the benefit of the doubt. These ram trucks are new and have the largest breaks in the industry. 18 inch wheels barely fit with less than a quarter inch clearance. Some 18s will hit the brake calipers. That’s insane… Never thought I would see an 18 inch...

    What to do???

22’s are for a certain look... 20’s will give 1” more sidewall top and bottom. If you go to a P rated 275/60/20 (33x11) you’ll add another .5 top and bottom and increase fuel economy due to lighter weight. If you go to a 285/60/20 it’s a 33.5” tire (33.5x11.5) (ridge Grapplers run a little...

    20’s and I would guess a 285/65/20 tire. Am I right?

    Ideal offset

0 to -12 offset is good to help keep the rubber in the fenders with a little poke on the side. May I suggest looking at a 305/70/18 instead of the 35x12.5... it’s a true 35 https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/305-70R18.htm

Ridge Grappler XL or Wrangler UltraTerrain AT

OEM Falkens are not the same.. gets confusing but the OEM AT3wa is normally sold in Europe and is less aggressive than the AT3w. The AT3w is the one to get. Budget or not they are just great! They are priced right and are on par with the more expensive competition. They do not lack in quality...

Ridge Grappler XL or Wrangler UltraTerrain AT

Falken AT3W’s are a fantastic tire! Had them on my last truck and was often off-road. They don’t hold rocks and they are quiet. Really good in the snow. They don’t flex and sway in the corners. They are perfect. The only thing is that they are heavy. I sold a lot of sets of them. 99% of...

Mopar 2" Lift vs 5100 Adjustable Ride Height

Time out.... can anyone provide data showing that the spring rate for the ORP Springs is stiffer? I have the ORP the factory shocks and that half-inch top hat spacer, ride is certainly not stiff and or uncomfortable. The ORP springs are supposed to raise the truck 1 inch in the front and 1 inch...

Ridge Grappler XL or Wrangler UltraTerrain AT

Bumped into a guy today that had a newer set of ultra terrain’s on his GMC diesel. As I was walking up to him and his truck I could see rocks stuck in the tread on the passenger front tire. We were in a gas station parking lot. I asked him how he liked the tires and as I came to the driver side...

Mopar 2" Lift vs 5100 Adjustable Ride Height

Not offended but your information is also not accurate. I do understand your point though. Level kits do not raise the rear. They use a top hat spacer to level the front in relation to the rear. You can replace the front shocks that have an adjustable spring perch and achieve the same level. A...
