    eTorque 5.7 Light Braking Feel?

I've got about 4K miles on mine now with E-torque. Still not used to the engine breaking. Not sure if I ever will. It also slows engine speed down too much when cruise control is engaged and cresting over a hill. It removes fuel-saving opportunities you would normally see when the truck coasts...

    Cap/topper options

My Leer dealer told me 4-6 weeks after the manufacturer receives the order. I live in Alaska, so those of you who live closer to one of their three plants in the lower 48 will most likely get theirs sooner. I don't like ARE, because they have a funky looking trim piece on the bottom edge...

    Cap/topper options

I just placed an order for a Leer XQ topper. 6'4" bed.

    Vent Visors (Window Visors)

I screwed up and ordered a set of EGR visors for a quad cab. Had to order a second set for my crew cab. If anyone would like the set I have for a quad cab, let me know. I bought them Summit Racing for $100, shipped. Make an offer....

    Borla S-type exhaust

Nicely detailed post, ChadT. Summed up my thoughts and rationale perfectly. The GM/Borla does not have a designation, but I did call Borla and was told it is similar to their Touring. It is not loud, but leaves no doubt that it's not OEM. And it does get narly at WOT. I do not like loud...

    Borla S-type exhaust

I am interested in this. I had the GM/Borla Touring on my 2015 with the 6.2 ltr and cylinder deactivation. Not sure how Borla did it, but when in V4 mode, the exhaust note sounded normal. I hope they can pull that off with this system on the Ram. The S-type is too loud for me though. I'd prefer...

    USB thumb drive: music files

I figured out a reasonable workaround. Create a bunch of playlists. Once they are created and saved on your thumb drive, the truck will find them. Then once the desired playlist is selected, you can either select continuous play or random. I do not use Itunes. I hate it. I used FooBar 2000 to...

DIY Oil Change Shopping list for the 5.7

I just changed the oil in my 2019 yesterday. I'm a GM guy who bought a Ram..... I spent some time swearing at the idiot engineer who decided to put the filter where it is. What a friggin mess...... Your plastic bag trick sounds like a good one to try. Simple, cheap, and most likely effective...

    3.21 vs. 3.92

I ordered mine. 3.21, e-lock diff, off road package, 6` 4" bed. It showed up that way.

    USB thumb drive: music files

I have roughly 5000 tracks on my thumb drive. 12 genre's. Currently, I have all songs selected and shuffle engaged. I can shut down and restart the truck and shuffle is still engaged. The same track that was playing will also continue playing after restart.

    Horrific Gas Mileage Hemi eTorque

5.7 e-torque. 3.21 gears. Offroad package. Premium fuel every fill up. (if you have ever logged knock retard with HP Tuners and 87 octane with any modern V8, you'd use it too). I drove my truck from Idaho, up through Canada and home in Alaska. Roughly 3200 miles. I went through Banff and...

    USB thumb drive: music files

I know a lot of people use their phones for music playback. I do not, and do not want to start either..... I am not a big I-tunes fan either. I use a 64 gig USB drive, and store lossless MP3 music files on it. I am a dinosaur and still buy CD's, then rip them. One notable short combing of...

    Automatic Parking Brake Question

Are there variances between the two? I prefer reading something I can hold in my hands over something on a screen......

    Automatic Parking Brake Question

I still haven't read the manual.... Been trying to figure out why the parking brake will randomly release. Figured it out a couple days ago that the seat belt needs to be buckled. Time to read the manual......

    Vent Visors (Window Visors)

Thank you. Unfortunately, they do not ship to Alaska. Quite common with Ebay sellers.

    Two-Tone Laramie Longhorn

Picked up the new truck last week. I ordered it with the Off Road package. It needs larger tires...... These wheels will be used for winter tires. I'll get a second set of aftermarket wheels and tires next spring. I also had it ceramic coated and clear bra installed. It'll most likely never look...

4WD Auto vs. 2WD normal driving - Poll

MPG really depends on traction and when and how often the transfer case, front shaft clutch is engaged by the elecro-magnet switch (on/off only). Rear wheel slippage will also effect the TC ball ramp clutch torque amount applied (0-100% mechanical torque transfer between front and rear tires)...

4WD Auto vs. 2WD normal driving - Poll

I use Auto most of the time during winter months when there is snow/ice on the roads. 2 hi all other seasons. MPG does drop when in Auto. Roughly 20%. Your poll does not differentiate between the seasons.

    Two-Tone Laramie Longhorn

I ordered a two-tone brown Longhorn. Just got the vin yesterday. I wanted the E torque and 6.4' bed.... Also wanted the off road package and did not want to lose the 360 camera when you get the tow package. All that is a hard combo to find, so ordering seemed to be the only option for me...
