I power my small winch from the 7 way (draws 10-25a, 45a stall) so you should have no problem. I did replace the fuse with a circuit breaker, but wiring is stock.
Q
the matte one was too obvious. The glass one is ok, but if it cracks, it could scratch the plastic screen underneath, so protection is minimal.
And I just don’t see much risk of the screen getting scratched.
Low risk, low benefit = low value. But YMMV...
Congrats! Really nice TT! Enjoy it. As for tow mode, meh, for me the only real benefit is downhill descent engine braking.
Just be careful with loading, as something that size can easily exceed your payload cap. And that long, make sure your anti-sway WDH is dialed in.
But it does look...
Sounds pretty good. Weight distro seems effective. I’m not a big fan of hitches hat rely on fixed/non-adjustable friction for sway control - you can’t compensate for when water, grease, wear, etc reduce the anti-sway effect. But it still should be providing enough friction to reduce sway...
That’s a nice rig!
How good is your WDH at anti-sway? What was the tongue weight?
What was the truck front tire loading when the trailer was fully loaded?
How much of the trailer weight was behind the trailer axles?
These will make more of a difference...
i don’t buy the “sidewall flex”...
If you have all the hardware, and it’s in great shape/undamaged, I’d be interested - could you drop it off at a UPS Store or FedEx storefront? Hopefully they can box it and I pay for shipping ?
You’re right, that’s too low. It’s below the float charging voltage of the 12v battery, let alone the boost voltage . Good catch, now hopefully the dealer is on the ball..
