I get it but we should not have to check for leaks everytime we get in our trucks. That is why I am dumping my POS soon. I'm tired of it, I want to start it and go.
I forgot to add they found a small crack in the window and frame but I could not see it because I have a cap on the truck.
BTW--- on most trucks you get in and start. With these trucks if it's raining you spend 5 minutes looking for a leak first then get in and start.
I got my truck back yesterday with a (SECOND) new window installed. Another 2 days with no transportation as I live alone #$%@& !!!!
The part number for the window ends in AF. The tech said to me "if it leaks again it won't be covered but if you ***** to Ram they might cover it". I...
Took my truck in today for the leak the fifth time over 3 years and 8 months. When the window was replaced a year ago it was the old part number. (I pointed that out to them thanks to this site). They had a new one with new part number in stock so they are keeping in tonight and I'll get it...
Well lets bump this up again. Why not. Window leaking for the 5th time. After it's fixed ( OR IF) unloading this big POS my last RAM . I'll go Hyundai or Kia if I have to can't be any worse.
No excuse for any of this - trucks have rear windows- it is poor quality parts, poor design, poor enginering, rush of new model to production or any combination of these.
I had my window replaced a couple of years ago under warranty and it still leaked. After 4 repair attempts at the dealer they called in a company in called The Glass Doctor and it stopped but I don't know what they did. Since the replacement window is still the OLD part number I am waiting for...
After procrastinating for 2 1/2 years I finally did the hack and never looked back. A month ago I got an oil change at the dealer, the service advisor said " you had a small leak from one of the hose clamps on your valve we tightened it " he never asked me what is was for !
I'm not sure, it's down on the stick now about 1 1/2 inch. My service manager said do not top it off so they can tell how much. It blows black and white smoke out of both pipes (IT'S NOT VAPOR !!) very intermittently maybe once every 10 to 20 starts. I take it in Wednesday.
My clunker is now burning oil with only 31,000 on it. I have to wait 2 weeks to get it in and the service manager said as long as there is oil showing on the dipstick do not top it off (??) so we know how much you lost. Another whole day with no transportation , thanks Ram. Great , I hope the...
Mine 2019 has been a POS since day one, waiting for prices to come down a little and will stick a dealer with this truck , and it won't be a Ram dealer
Also remember if you lower truck with the fob many of the trucks do not automatically raise to aero, something mine does that my dealer (and many others) are unable to fix .
