The best rear axle ratio for me

I fully agree. I have the 3.92 and tow maybe 25% of my miles. I would actually prefer the 3.21 for basically an “extra” gear for non-towing highway cruising. I also like the feel of longer lazier gearing (fewer shift points and generally quieter/lower revs). Additionally, I find a noticeable...

The best rear axle ratio for me

I have a 3.92 and tow around 7-8000 lb. It tows super easy but honestly it wouldn’t matter if I had the 3.21 as the transmission would just drop a gear under certain loads. The truck has more than enough motor for either rear end up to max towing. The 8 speed has made this debate mostly...

    Grand Wagoneer review

A buddy of mine owns a dealership and they just had a bunch of allocations open up. Basically ordered a white on black series 3 with everything except the rear seat video. They’re also giving me $5k off sticker which these days is pretty good. It’s the exact build in this video. Now just have to...

Just trying to have some fun

I have 4x4 mostly for commuting in our 4-6 month long winters. I also tow and take it hunting out in fields/trails. No real mud or rock crawling. I apologize I have no good pictures but I do have a video somewhere when my wife was watching me draw a big dink on the snow on our lake last winter...

    2020 Limited -> 2022 TRX?

Terrible idea. Take the cash and use it as a down payment on a M3. I honestly thought about reading my RS5 and limited in for a TRX. Best of both worlds right? But one day I was driving on the highway in my limited and it was a little bit windy and I closed my sunroof cover to get rid of that...

    Grand Wagoneer review

Well just thought I’d update. I went back and drove them again and switched my order back to a Grand Wagoneer. I just need that 6.4 in my life and after getting in the GW again it really does feel like a much more special car. I’m able to spec a Series II GW for only about $10k more than a...

    Grand Wagoneer review

So a few more pointers between the 6.4 and the 5.7 The 6.4 is a rocket compared to the 5.7. It sounds amazing as well. This makes it even more disappointing this engine is not offered in the 1500 - especially I think in both the Rebel and Limited trims. This motor in the rebel would make it...

    Grand Wagoneer review

The Wagoneer forum sucks so I’m posting here. I imagine a lot of 1500 owners are eyeing up the Wagoneer family. I have a 1500 limited and it’s great for hauling around our two kids, but with a third one on the way we need (want) a 3 row suv as it’s gonna be a bit cramped. My wife was set on...

5.7l vs 6.4l. RAM 1500 vs Grand Wagoneer.

I think the sweet spot they’re missing is a 6.4 rebel. That would basically eat the old 6.2 raptors, and even compete with the current raptor….until the R arrives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

5.7l vs 6.4l. RAM 1500 vs Grand Wagoneer.

Judging by this comparison a 6.4 in the Ram would get similar or better mileage. I’m in the same boat - I would buy one immediately. One thing I will say is at least the 5.7 is a very competent engine and I still think it’s more than capable for this truck. This is not the case with Chevy’s...

    Tire Recommendations for New Owner

Yeah I’ve got the HTs. Might try the ATs when I wear these out. Absolutely love them. My statistical analysis of this forum shows 100% of people have zero regrets with Continentals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Slip On Tow Mirrors

Those look awesome! Thanks for posting this I’m ordering now. I had similar ones for my 2017 but they were just secured with a wedge and they left a bit of a scuff, and fell off once. These look far more secure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to disconnect HK subwoofer w/o success: what am I doing wrong?

I tried stuffing insulation in the box and behind the sub but it didn’t seem to change anything. I just placed the foam sheet between the sub/sub box and the carpet, it holds in place just by friction when you put the carpet back and I think it helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to disconnect HK subwoofer w/o success: what am I doing wrong?

Try sound insulation over the sub box. I plugged it back in then put a couple square feet of this stuff between the carpet and sub and it really has quieted the boom and allows you to turn the bass up without rattling your skull. I hear a lot more mid range bass now and it actually sounds great...
