One thing to try prior to wasting your time at the dealership is to open the sunroof and close it to see if that fixes the issue. Just wondering if something happened on the last close
I don't think so. Any water that would have gone through would probably have been exited out the 4 drains, one on each corner. While it is in the shop, have them make sure the 2 drains between the cab and the bed were installed correctly. It seems like a large majority of these drains were not...
@rickj This is my door sticker for reference to @slimchance response. This is based on the Limited trim. The door sticker shows a much lower payload weight than some of the other trims that carry less equipment. Sorry the picture is kind of dark.
The trims go like this from base to most expensive base price.
Tradesman- Usual work truck. Probably not for you
Bighorn- This looks to be your go to in that price range however some of the creature comforts might not be there such as bucket seats
Laramie- May be able to find a good deal on...
You are correct. As long as you keep the truck running and don't manually turn it off, it will run indefinitely while displaying a warning about not detecting the key.
I agree! Honestly it doesn't take a huge commitment to update at least a few of those items. I understand that 1 and 5 in your list might take a little more effort but the others? Hire a programmer or 2 and a tester you got yourself a win. The base to work from is not bad, but add a couple...
This is great advice and I was able to find my sweet spot using this method. When my screen was in its daytime setting when it was dark, I would VERY minutely spin that dial until it shut off and I really haven't had any brightness issues since. The other thing I did was take it off of Auto in...
That's a good thought about the speed. My only problem with this is that Idaho has 1 highway and most of it has a speed limit of 80 so I'd be the slowpoke and I can't have that.
This is what I use. Really light and just enough height for me at 6'1". If you are shorter I would recommend ^^^ ladder.

One more thing, if you're using a ladder, don't lean too far. It is definitely not worth a slip from a ladder. I know I have had to reach at times and feel like I my feet would slip out from under me at any second. I just do the best I can with with a longer towel for drying.
Just make sure when you're washing that you're not wearing anything with buttons, zippers or a belt because you may need to slightly lean on the truck.
Why don't you leave the cats out of this? They have enough to be getting on with.
I agree. I need a step ladder to even reach the middle of...
My guess is there will not be an update avaiable at that time. If there is indeed an update, I would tell them to update it free of charge because they are trying to sell you something that is out of date.
