Another vote for OEM here, just did the install last week for a friend of mine after hearing about one of is buddies who is also on his third set of Morimotos.
For $375 a local guy did a full catback with a flowmaster (sorry forget which one) and it sounds just as good (to me) as the borla that I was thinking about getting :D
I check mine the day of or the day before an oil change. So every 5K ish miles. I did forget once and went two changes before checking and it was about 3/4 full.

What I found a bit funny was the test drive of the car. I went with him (always do since he's not very mechanically inclined) and we test drove a few other cars. All of then had V6s and he said he was going to get one with a V8. I asked him why and he said the V6s were too slow upon acceleration...
