Sounds like you could buy it, hate it for a year or two, and come out ahead or even when you unload it.
I’d give it a whirl. Don’t see where you have anything to lose here unless the long bed puts you in hell for that time period. I can barely park the short bed so that would be my issue...
Right but I understood it to require that the phone to “forget” UConnect. So if it doesn’t connect for some reason then your phone will not be able to connect to uConnect as a “backup” - Is that right?
Thanks for testing and for the review. Bummer it doesn’t work tucked away in the center console. Is the wire long enough to stash it somewhere or does it hang?
Sounds like the ability to go handsfree is entirely dependent on this unit functioning since you’ve foregone the Uconnect entirely...
Yeah, FM. Was nice when my wife would call in the middle of a hot sports opinion about how the a Cowboys don’t really suck or about Luka being the greatest. Both topics I need to hear, but now miss.
I know we’re not looking for unpleasant surprises but the fact I can’t pause live radio and the sunroof spoiler sucking is garbage. Two items my Tundra beats the Ram at.
Everything else is far better, so far!
This. 2020 eliminated the CD Player and Non-eT Options. They’ve brought one back. Maybe next is the CD, then maybe the Cassette!

Emptied my catch can after about a thousand miles just to get an idea of the amount of oil and it was a dark, oil look. Nothing like the peanut butter shake you’re looking at.
I suspect the dealer would have let you know if the oil looked off. If your oil looked like that I’d suspect coolant...
Want. Having a hard time with the price right now but eventually I’ll convince myself it’s not that big of a difference.
The Mopar exhaust was a little easier for me to justify but the Ram Airflow is either an infinite percentage more expensive than the next best option (assuming negligible...
I’m in Fort Worth but haven’t endured more than 80 degrees so not sure where the AC will stand with the 2020. Hoping they made adjustments for the new model but won’t know until ambient temp is at least in the 90s.
Unfortunately he drives almost entirely city, I’m almost entirely highway. I’m not quite to 17mpg on the odometer but every time my wife drives (full day on the weekend every so often) she puts it into the high 14s so my truck is a terrible gauge for comparison!
I did just install a Pedal...
Yeah wondering how long the batteries will last. Hybrids get a good amount of life from theirs and those are doing a lot more than ET.
Start/Stop is really smooth. Most people I talk to hate it, it’s different in these ET trucks.
No way you’re going to get more than maybe 1 mpg. I just don’t...
Didn’t care about the eTorque but it’s what my truck has. Love the smooth stop/start, great to have extra available torque (though I admittedly don’t notice it), and mpg bump, while negligible, doesn’t hurt.
All things said I guess it really just boils down to a “neat” piece of tech with some...
Thanks buddy. If she tortures me and asks me to name names I’d never break but you should know you were (albeit unknowingly) complicit in my decision with your posts on the subject.
Hoping to have these (in black) installed along with the Mopar Cat-Back the week after this coming Friday.
My wife will be going out of town and about a month ago I casually mentioned that’s when I’d buy and install a new exhaust. I’ll make sure to take pictures before she has the opportunity...
