I was going to try to wire it up the same as Mike_CT, splicing into the rear defrost wiring. Unless someone comes up with a better method that's cheap.

I'm considering swapping my non-heated towing mirror glass with heated mirror glass. I know the glass is interchangeable, but was wondering if you can connect the mirror into the rear defrost wiring. Anyone know if this can this be done? And if so, what color and where are the rear defrost...

Yes and No. The 4th gen mirrors will bolt on and are physically identical. However, if you're trying to install heated mirrors, for example, and don't already have heated mirrors, then the 4th gen mirrors won't work because the door module won't have capabilities/wiring for the heat. What...

Please keep us posted on what you find out. I didn't think about just replacing the glass. It would be nice to know if there's already a heat wire, or if we have to run a new lead.

Right on! There's a chance that 4th Gen OEM heated towing mirrors will plug and play on our new trucks (Part# 82214909). They look to be the same mirrors. However, not sure if the wire for heating is already in the mirror harness. If anyone can confirm, that would be much appreciated!

Yeah, I already had to scrape the ice off of my mirrors. Not fun! If you find anything out, please let us know.

Hello all. I have a 2019 BigHorn and unfortunately have the black non-heated towing mirrors with turn/puddle lights. Does anyone know if the heated towing mirrors with turn/puddle lights from 2010-2018 (Part# 82214909) would work on my truck? Thanks

Alpine Audio System. I also wish I had Rear-wheel liners and LED bed lights. My truck came with the towing package as well, with the un-heated/non-folding towing mirrors. I wish I had the standard heated, power-folding mirrors.

Those of us with Bighorns, for whatever reason, don't have heated tow mirrors. If you look on your mirrors for the little heater symbol, you'll see it's missing. Apparently RAM doesn't consider $50k enough to warrant heated mirrors on the 2019 Bighorns! Now that's a ripoff!
