Serious question. For those buying new, are you waiting for a leak or just going ahead and caulking everything?

Just on amazon. plenty of different options on there. Just get one that is actual rubber instead of foam. Foam will absorb water and eventually let it drip into the cab.

Serious question. For those buying new, are you waiting for a leak or just going ahead and caulking everything?

Only thing I do as far as preventative is I put a thicker, rubber gasket on my 3rd brake light. Did that on my 2019, 2021 (which did eventually develop the rear window frame crack) and on my current 2023. No issues so far on my 2023 and have had it right at a year.

    Successfully Enabled OEM Remote Start

    1. You can NOT program a new key with Alfa, it has to be done at the dealer, an experienced lock-smith or you can buy a fancy expensive key programmer. 2. I'm not sure on adding the hood latch connection if you don't already have it. 3. Yes, the tailgate will work also if you got a fob that...

    Mirrors

Yes, just have to activate the functions with Alfa or Tazer, or have your dealer flash the computer.

    Tow Mirror Swap

Any sport style mirrors from a 5th gen 1500 will fit your truck. Just make sure you find a set with the same features your current mirrors has if you want to retain them.

How to: Wiring a switch bank

To add to this - any constant hot wire for any accessory should always be run to your fuse block on the hot lugs for constant power. Add an inline fuse or breaker, but avoid wiring things directly to your battery.

    2024 1500 Laramie Led 3rd Brake Light

Yes, you can purchase it and the LED functions will be plug and play. The camera, if equipped, will not be. There are versions with and without the camera. You can usually find them on Ebay for sale.

    Vibration at specific speeds

Had this same issue. Had my tires (Nitto Ridge Graps) road-force balanced 3 times as well as my alignment checked. Still didn't fix anything. I ended up pulling the tires off and putting a new, different set on. The vibration completely went away. It was a problem with one or all the tires. Who...

Wheel pulls to the right at slow speeds. Ideas??

That crossed my mind. I’ll have to feel around next time I drive to see if anything seems hotter on that side.

Wheel pulls to the right at slow speeds. Ideas??

No lane keep assist on my truck.

Wheel pulls to the right at slow speeds. Ideas??

I haven’t rotated since I had these new tires put on, which was less than a week ago. But it was doing it with my previous set of tires as well. The wheel isn’t fighting me, I can easily pull it back left, I just have to hold it left or I’m going back to the right if I’m still going those slow...

    Bad Vibration

Dang. I ended up pulling my Nittos off and putting some Hankook Dynapro AT2s on. My vibration issue has significantly gone away almost to where I don't feel any at all now. I'm confident my issue was my tires.

Wheel pulls to the right at slow speeds. Ideas??

So before I go trying to have a shop or the dealer figure this out, I'm hoping one of you who is smarter than I am (it doesn't take much) can figure this one out. So on my 2023 Laramie, when I am traveling at slow speeds from about 5mph to 10mph, my steering wheel pulls itself hard to the right...

    Torn between 285/55/22 or 295/55/22

I'm on the Bils 5100 set at 2.1". I just swapped my Nitto Ridge Grapplers which were 33x12.5x22 for Hankook DynaPro AT2s in a size 305/45/22 which is an XL-rated, lighter tire. Size-wise, I can't tell any difference. Ride quality-wise, but better both smoother and quieter. I also was having a...

    Vibration help

I forgot to update this - I had brand new Hankook Dynapro AT2s put on a couple days ago. The vibration issue is now completely gone. So, it was certainly something with those Nittos. Surprising since Nittos are very popular and I’ve had 2-3 sets in the past with zero issues.

    Trouble starting

Very common for your battery to be bad and throw codes / make the truck do weird things. If your battery is 2-3 years old and still the OEM one, it's time for a new one.

    Successfully Enabled OEM Remote Start

I don’t believe so. Just as long as the fob is programmed to your truck to actually start and unlock the truck, the functions on the remote should work. @Jimmy07 may have to chime in.

    Successfully Enabled OEM Remote Start

Hmm. As long as you have the key fob programmed to the truck, both settings turned on in Alfa, you have the connector at the hood latch and push start, you should be working. I’m not sure

    Successfully Enabled OEM Remote Start

There’s two settings in Alfa you have to turn on. Go back to the beginning of this thread to confirm you did both.
