Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

https://vehicleinfo.mopar.com/assets/publications/en-us/Ram/2025/1500_DT/100150_25_DT_OM_EN_USC_DIGITAL.pdf?_gl=1*16btoa*_gcl_au*MTU4MzkxMjcuMTcwNzY2NDY0NQ.. Look up coolant, two different cooling systems, hell not even an oil dip stick. o_O

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Buts its not the same high torque as diesel, but its better than the Hurricane HO by 100 ft lbs

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

The bottom end will have close to the same architecture, it has 1 turbo, 1 cooling system, top end close to the same 6.7 CTD, but will have spark plugs and gas related equipment. Whats impressive, is that the engine was originally designed for HD Diesel high torque application, but converted to...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Now this I6 gas engine is simple durable and has lots of torque, I'd buy this to replace my Hemi, but it'd have to be a 2500.

    Ram sales down

Being one of those curmudgeons, my last recollection on savings interest rates are still low. Our retirement funds are tied up in annuities and the remaining amounts are dwindling fast to keep up with costs of everything. I downsized from a 2019 Ram Laramie 3500 4X4 SRW after selling my 5th...

    Ram sales down

Over $800 to $900 dollars a month is crazy, and that is based on a $60K truck with @ $10K down, and thats without interest. Were now seeing 1500 Ram trucks pricing into the upper $80K+ range. Its not just interest rates, its price, availability and and the scary economy with high interest rates.

    New replacement battery

When you remove the group 94R battery, you'll see the spacer that is on the bottom tray. I have a bigger AGM battery that would have fit, had I known that and save me a couple of hundred dollars. I didn't replace the OE battery, the vender did. I removed it to replace the damaged insulation some...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

My opinion will always be that the turbo's, separate cooling systems, overhead cams and the newer technology for the first time being used, will be a service nightmare for the DIYers and dealer repair costs after warranty.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

A 2025 Bighorn 4X4 at the base price (not the way I'd purchase one) with only the Hurricane optioned is $53K. I only have 42K miles on my 2020, and God forbid it failed tomorrow, the repair would save me money, instead of buying a 2025.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

If sales drop off, and the feedback is due to no V8, you can bet they will comeback with a V8. If the sales drop, Ram will go back to last place like where they were in 93, before the new Dodge Ram in 94. The 94 Ram saved Dodge, but I always like Rams, I purchased a 94 2500 HD 360 (when there...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I liked the video, and learned alot between the two engines. At the age of 65, the old inline six cylinder engines were underpowered but very durable. Also they had better torque, but the V8 had to make up by running higher RPM, but I prefer the lower HP higher torque. It was and still is the...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

, Inline 3.0 six cylinder, with two turbos putting out over 540 HP.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I would never put a Paxton (was just a reference) on my 5.7, just making a point that the Hurricane is maxed out in HP out of the box. If I ever need to install a short block, which I have done in the past with other engines, I'd upgrade to the 6.4 cam and ARP head studs, from that point on it'd...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Only the early GM motors in the 60's and 70's are the ones I like, my favorite is the 327, but I've always been a Mopar guy. It was a sad day, the day the 318 hit the scrap heap, I hope the 5.7 Hemi stays alive.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Well let me further educate you then, BMW was not a car manufacturer until after the end of WWII. BMW manufactured aircraft engines, which were also used in the military in the war. Maybe its the reason the rings, in their engines never last as long as the competitors. In aircraft engines, there...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I was comparing the complicated overhead cams with the Euro stuff vrs the 3.0 I6, as far as the Hurricane are concerned. My intention was never to compare Euro engines to the Hemi. The Stock performance Euro engines are stronger than ours, but working on them will blow your budget.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

No naturally aspirated 3.0 I6 will beat the Hemi, so Ram upgraded the I6 with twin turbos and overhead cams to beat the Hemi, they had to up the HP over the Hemi to get buyers to like it. So if you put a Paxton Supercharger to have the same boost as the 3.0, the Hemi will walk all over it...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Ok, I'll take a back seat for now, I'll wait for the results, but it will take a few years to show any trouble, at least a buyer hopes for that.

Apples to oranges, I thought were comparing Hemi to a Hurricane.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

I didn't say they are slow, I lived in Germany for 5 years, and drove MB and BMW as well as other makes. Mercedes is over engineered and expensive, and BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) are quick and a little less expensive. However with the overhead cams and the mechanisms driving the cams make it...
