I’m throwing out ideas with this and showing a progression of options from most to least labor intensive:
1. “Shave” it, meaning it will be filled in and welded closed, then smoothed over with a little filler and painted.
2. Take a piece of plastic (or metal if you’re feeling adventurous)...
I’m not saying that RAM doesn’t have issues, but all brands have issues now. Vehicles have become like laptops in that their tech is not zero fault and essentially degrades with time. Vehicles are disposable commodities now.
I do fine with a harbor freight variable speed polisher for tractor paint, but haven’t tried it with a vehicle yet. My next cheapest polisher is a Flex brand, and that was $800 when it first came out.

Someone posted their conversation with Ramcares on another thread, and it looks like you may be able to get a pump that’s already under recall (pump would still be new) until the updated one is available.
Could get a preload and tophat spacer to get a stock strut near the overall length of your coilover, then swap it out while you have them being serviced.
You would most likely need a realignment each time you do that, as overall height probably wouldn’t perfectly match (considering difficulties...
