it is stiffer than stock and reduces lean on turns. I put one on to add a little stiffness to the rear and to reduce a little bit of shimmy I was getting while towing. the sway bar is the same size as the oem one so should not make any difference on wheel travel except that there are three...
I always got around 20 on the highway with my 5.3 sierra 4x4 ccsb with 3.42's and I expect to get about the same on my 4x4 ccsb laramie with 5.7 and 3.92 gears because of the two extra tranny gears on the ram. my son always gets 20 or more on his 2017 ram with same setup.
that sounds like a load. our TT is around 6000# when towing and I have the 33 gal. tank so I dont carry more than a few hundred ponds of stuff in the bed. with that load the truck doesnt seem to be overworked and oil and tranny temps stay low so maybe I could go another 1000# but on highways...
I went from a 2017 gmc sierra slt 4x4 ccsb with off road and just about everything else to my 2019 ram 1500 laramie 4x4 ccsb with the off road and sport pkg. stuff and it rides quite a bit smoother and handles much better. the coil springs, bigger brakes and quicker steering make it less truck...
often they pair the smaller motor with lower gears to compensate for less power and they end up getting about the same mileage. when I bought my first ram 4x4 1500 in '03 the dealers were hawking the small v8..4.8 I think. I test drove one for grins and I had to have my foot in it all the time...
I dont know how those numbers can be right. I just came from a2017 4x4 sierra with 5.3 and 3:42 rear end to a new laramie 4x4 with the 5.7 and 3:92. 24 more cubes+40 more hp+lower gears in the rear end and tranny. my ram feels quite a bit quicker and tows my travel trailer much easier. my butt...
yes they are large..I put a 9' wide door on my garage/shop when I built it and I'm glad I did because I only have less than 2" of clearance on each side when I pull in. the first cpl. times I hand folded the driver one back but I decided that continuous folding might wear out the stops so just...
the yellow sticker on the door jamb of my ccsb 4x4 3.92 laramie shows about 500# less than either one of those tables. cat scale wt. was 5960# with me (225#) and about 120# of fuel leaving me only 1140# for everything else.
well I always get leather buckets and the cut-off for that seemed to be the Laramie so that's where I started. cloth seats dont work for me because they look worn pretty fast, absorb odors and I like the look and feel of leather better but everyone likes different stuff. I didnt ask for...
I have 2300+ on mine. I had the droning noise when cruising on the highway so I unplugged the ANC mics. I hear a clunk underneath the front when making sharp right at parking lot speed. Nav keeps reverting to 400' scale which is annoying. all else good
I bought my ram at the end of august. the dealer told me running boards were not avail. yet they had em in stock over at Dallas Doge so I went there and bought the full length oem ones for 20% off. 30-45 min. install
my cat scale wt. with me and half a tank of fuel was 5960#. you are right about towing with low profile tires. I felt like the 20's would be better for towing and the occasional dirt road trips off the main highway. we also take my truck for ski trips so I think the 20's make more sense for...
the 2019 laramie I bought showed 20's on the window sticker but actually had 22's on it. I had them change to the 20's but they didnt change the yellow payload sticker so I dont have that much confidence in those numbers.
I always buy and I have always got more than I owed at trade time. I only know a cpl. people who lease and one of them is upside down every time he trades and it always costs him money to get out. I prefer to own and I usually trade every 4 years .
