just about everything is way high now. just hope nobody swipes your catalytic converter. seems they have doubled in price. according to the money guys, all next year will be more of the same so may as well bite the bullet. swapping out the sway bar is a worthy upgrade. I shop everyday for a new...
I have 3.92 rear end and am glad I do. the truck has plenty get up and go and it is a great gear for towing. at 70 I think the rpms are around 1900 and when not towing I nearly always get 20 mpg if I stay under 80.
I have the sport hood..just for looks. as for the air box. there are other blogs about it. most say the oem one works well. out of habit, I put a K&N type filter in mine right after I bought it. I have used them for many years in all my vehicles. buy once and rinse out every year unless I...
I dont pay anything and I still get weather alerts on the screen..not sure why unless they are coming from siriusxm which I subscribe to. I dont have unlimited phone data so wont be using it for nav and besides none of the places I have driven to the last few years have moved.
I dont do much city driving with mine. bought for towing our travel trailer and for travel. I always get around 20 on the highway and I normally cruise in the 75-78 range. I mostly set cruise and I only use regular gas. YMMV
I only use my laramie for towing our travel trailer and for when we take a long trip. the electric with 150 mile range would not work for me. since the range is cut in half when towing, I couldnt even make it to our closest favorite lake which is 95 miles. our typical trip without the trailer is...
needed to help a buddy get a full sized 4 door ford home from about 100 miles away so went to u-haul rented car trailer..they never asked me what kind of car I was going to haul. loaded car on. towed to his house behind my old K5 Blazer. no muss no fuss no WDH. thru Dallas freeways 60ish. before...
I get plenty good mileage for a truck..over 20 on the highway at 75-78 cruise..if you drive in stop and go traffic a lot the etorque would most likely give you better mileage because the 8 speed tranny has very low 1st gear and the etorque gets you off the line with a little boost.
on the highway at 75-78 cruise I get up to 21.5 sometimes..usually around 20. pulling my 28'x 6000# travel trailer at 68-70 I get 8.5-11 depending on the terrain.
mine has ORP and 4wheel auto. I use it when on the highway during heavy rain or icy/snow covered roads. works really well. have only used 4hi when off main road in snow up to running boards.
I have similar truck and pull a freedom express 246RKS..28' long and around 6000# when towing. my truck only has 1324# cargo cap. so I pack light. I set cruise for 68-70 and get 8.5-10 depending on the terrain. these trucks pull great and have very good brakes. I use a WDH and put a little more...
my trailer puts about 600# on the hitch. it is a Husky WDH and the truck rear end goes down about an inch when I hook on the trailer. trailer is 28' travel trailer about 6000# when towing
I usually get 8.5-10 ish pulling our 6000# travel trailer with cruise set on 68-69 and truck loaded for the weekend... that is over terrain that is not very hilly..I have got 11.5 before on flat road at that speed...dont think I have the temperment for going much slower. I get passed by 1500's...
I have a cpl. harleys..a wide glide and an ultra. the wife and I like to load up the ultra and ride from dfw up to northern new mexico and colorado every now and then.
ya there are a cpl. long pulls in that area. uphill all the way for us..Ft. Worth area is about 650" ASL. we ski at Taos or Red River every year and have looked at buying property in NM for many years but have just not found the right place yet. might at some point get some land up there and put...
